- продолжить знакомство учащихся с достопримечательностями Лондона.
- научить применять команды движения для ориентирования в городе.

- развивать навыки монологической и диалогической речи, умение вести беседу по заданной теме, активизировать новые лексические единицы в речи.
- развивать навыки чтения и умения выбора «правильно/ неправильно / не знаю» соответственно прочитанному.
- развивать навыки восприятия речи на слух; умения выбора нужной информации из прослушанного текста и установление соответствий.

1. Введение в урок
1) Краткая беседа (организационный момент и приветствие)
T: Good morning. I am glad to see you. How are you? You are excited a bit.
Let`s relax: Sit straight. Close your eyes. Think about something pleasant. Breathe in. Breathe out.Open your eyes. Smile and let`s start.
2) Объявление темы и задач урока
Тема записана на доске: London. Town life.
T: Today we will continue discussing the capital of Great Britain London and the life in town. We will remember what we have already learnt. We will go on an excursion about London, we will read the text about places of interest and we will listen about the modern London`s sights.
3) Обсуждение пословицы
T: Listen to the English proverb and try to understand it. “An Englishman`s house is his castle” [ ka:sl]. How can you translate it in Russian? (Мой дом – моя крепость)
What does it mean? Is there any place where you feel safe and comfortable?
Учащиеся высказывают свое мнение.
2. Основная часть урока
1) Беседа о Лондоне
T: English people are very proud of their country and their capital London. We have already learnt a lot of things about London so could you answer my questions, please?
Teacher – Pupils.
- What do you know about London?
- How many cities are there in London?
- What are they? ( Could you name them? )
- What river does London stand on?
- What is London`s population?
- How many bridges are there over the River Thames?
- How many tunnels are there under the river Thames?
- Do you know any places of interest?
Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы учителя.
T: Thanks, your knowledge is good. And now I would like you to be our guides and remember everything you have already learned.
2) Обсуждение в группах кратких сообщений о Лондоне
T: I am going to divide you into 4 groups and give the cards for you. You should discuss your topic and then give a short presentation. You can choose the leader of your group.

Учащиеся обсуждают в группах задание, составляют мини-сообщение (5 минут).

3) Путешествие по городу. Отработка команд движения.
T: We live in town too and you know how it is easy to get lost when you are in the city or in town. So we are going to talk about the directions and how to get to the places. Choose one pupil. Listen to my instuctions:

Walk towards the blackboard. Stop. Who is on the left?
Who is on the right?
Turn right. What can you see straight ahead?
Thank you.
Go to your place.
Look at the blackboard. Repeat, please.

5) Работа за компьютером
a) Now take your places at the computer desks.
You are in the city. Your task is to follow the instruction and to find the right place. You should remember the place, which you have found.
b) Работа с CD ROM Way AHEAD 4. Ученики слушают инструкцию и находят места в городе.
WAY AHEAD 4, 3а: Read the directions. Click on the correct place.
Go along Centre Street. Turn right into Willow Road and it`s on the right.
What is it? It`s a newsagent.
Go along Centre Street. It`s on the left between Willow Road and Cherry Lane.
It`s a bank.
Turn right at Cherry Lane. It`s opposite the sports centre. It`s a hotel.
Go along Centre Street. It`s on the right, before the bank.
It`s a resraurant.
Go along Centre Street past the restaurant. Go straight on, and turn right at Cherry Lane. It`s on the left, after the restaurant.
It`s a sports centre.
Go along Centre street. Take the second right and it`s before the sport`s centre on the left.
It`s a restaurant.

7) Listen to the text (Macmillan Reader “ This London”, глава 3 (Places to visit) and do your tasks ( слушают и отмечают на карте достопримечательности).

a) Учащиеся обмениваются картами и проверяют.

T: So, let`s conclude. Who can say what we have learnt during our lesson? Listen and add some information.
