Ход урока
1. Организационный момент (приветствие, сообщение темы урока)
Т.: Hello, dear students. Glad to see you. I hope you are OK. So, the subject of our lesson today is “Means of transport”.
2. Лексическая разминка
T: Well, before we start discussing problems I’d like to ask you:
- How are you today?
- Who is absent today?
- Do you like travelling?
- Have you ever been to Moscow?
- What kind of transport do you prefer?

а) Развитие умений прогнозирования содержания текста
T: Open your books at page 96, ex 1.Look at the picture and the title of the text. How do you think what is the text about?

T: Let’s make exercise 1b. Listen and read the text. Complete the text with the missing words.

6. Развитие умений аудирования (понимание основного содержания).
T: Listen to three people giving their opinions on different means of transport. How does each person prefer to travel? Why?
P1: Sophie-bike because you don’t stuck in traffic, it’s free and it keeps you feet.
P2: Peter-train because it is a fast way to travel and he likes looking out of the window at the beautiful countryside.
P3: Greg-boat because you can walk around or go outside and look at the sea. It is a really interesting way to travel.
5. Развитие умений монологической речи.
T.: What is the most commonly used means of transport in your country? How do you prefer to travel? Why?
P.: The most commonly used means of transport in my country is the train. I like travelling by car most of all because you are free to go where you want.
