ХОД УРОКА

I. Introduction

Teacher: Hello! Today we’re going to speak about one of the most popular pastimes – shopping. It’s the thing a lot of people prefer doing in their free time. They say “If shopping doesn’t make you happy, you are in the wrong shop”. At the lesson we’ll discuss different kinds of shops, learn how to talk to a shop-assistant, get some facts about the ways of buying or selling goods via the Internet, besides, find out if you are a shopacholic.

II. Warming up

Teacher: Who would like to make a purchase tonight? (Some students raise their hands). So would I. Do you feel like searching for some particular item: a brand new outfit designed for a school-leaving party or elegant high-heel shoes or a navy silk tie that is always in fashion? What should shopping be like?
Students: I’m sure it should be exciting, enjoyable, fascinating, entertaining, encouraging, attractive, amusing but never dull or depressing.
Teacher: I quite agree with you here. Now let’s have a look at the most popular kinds of shops and match them with the goods they sell.
