- применять полученные знания на практике, оперировать имеющимся потенциалом в конкретной ситуации, закрепить умения и навыки монологической речи, практиковать учащихся в аудировании;

Ход урока
I. Оргмомент
1. Начало урока. Приветствие.
Good morning, children. I am glad to see you. Sit down, please.
2. Беседа с дежурным:
Who is on duty today? Who is absent today? What is the date today? What is the day of the week today? What is the weather like? Is it frosty (sunny, snowy, slippery) today? Do you like such weather? Do you like more winter or summer? Why don’t you like winter? Thank you. Sit down.
3. Объявляется тема и план урока
- We start our lesson, which is connected with Christmas. I hope you’ll enjoy our English lesson and be friendly to each other. I wish you a good luck! Let’s start.
4. We start our lesson with phonetics. (Ребята слушают слова и повторяют за диктором)
II. Основная часть урока
1. Активизация навыков аудирования.
- What do we know about Christmas? What are Christmas traditions? Look and listen to the Children’s Bible Stories and then answer the questions, please. Ребята смотрят видеоролик, рассказывающий библейскую легенду о рождении Иисуса Христа и затем отвечают на вопросы учителя, идет проверка понимания текста. (Для слабых учащихся можно положить печатный текст).
2. Практика устной речи.
Dear children. Listen to two stories about Christmas in Russia and Britain and compare then.

III. Работа в группах.
Now we know a lot about Christmas. Christmas in Britain is different from our Christmas. I want you to fill in the table. (Учащиеся заполняют сравнительную таблицу. На столе лежат напечатанные на листах слова и выражения, дети выходят к доске и прикрепляют их в нужную колонку таблицы). (Приложение).

1. После того, как таблица заполнится, ребята рассказывают о том, что общего и различного в праздновании Рождества.
2. Практика в письменной речи. We have found out a lot about Christmas. It’s all very interesting. Now it’s time to write Christmas cards. Look at them. Let’s remember what can you write on the cards. You have to write a few words to your friends or to our guests.

Сказка о Рождестве
Storyteller. The story of the first Christmas begins in the springtime, when the Angel Gabriel came down from Heaven to speak to a young woman called Mary who lived in the land of Israel.
Angel. Don’t be afraid of me, Mary! God has seen what a good person you are. He has chosen you to be the mother of His Son. His name will be Jesus, born to save the sinners of the world.
Mary (to Joseph). Joseph, I have been chosen to be the to mother of God’s Son.
Joseph. Mary, we should go to Bethlehem, where my family has come from.
Mary. Why, Joseph?
Joseph. Emperor Augustus says that everyone should return to their family home and put their names on a list for paying taxes.
Storyteller. Joseph had to walk leading the little donkey, which carried Mary, and they were both very tired.
Mary. I am very tired.
Joseph. Me too. But look, the town is near. I see it.
Storyteller. But so many people were making the same journey that all the inns were soon full.
Innkeeper. No places at all. But wait! You can stay in my stable. That’s all I can offer.
Joseph. Thank you very much!
Mary. We are very thankful to you!
Storyteller. That night Jesus was born. Mary wrapped Him in a soft linen and laid Him on a bed of hay in a manger.
Joseph. What a beautiful night. And what a bright star appeared in the sky!
Angel. Do not be afraid. I’ve come to tell you than Christ the Lord has been born this night. Dear Mary and Joseph! With heart full of gladness and love I want to present His Child. These are the presents for Him: gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Mary and Joseph. Thank you very much!
Angel. Today we also give to those who love the happiness of Joseph and the blessings of the Angels on that first Christmas.
