Цель: развитие коммуникативной культуры и социально-культурной образованности учащихся, позволяющей поддержать беседу по теме “Do You Know English-speaking Countries?”.
Задачи:
- Учебные: формирование лексической базы по теме “Англо-говорящие страны”, систематизация и актуализация знаний учащихся страноведческого материала;
- Развивающие: развитие познавательного интереса учащихся, повышение мотивации к изучению иностранного языка через развитие эмоциональной сферы учащихся в процессе использования различных методических приемов; развитие навыков устной речи в форме дискуссии;
- Воспитательные: обеспечить стимулирование речемыслительной и социальной активности учащихся; развитие творческих способностей учащихся, умения работать в коллективе, воспитание уважительного отношения к культуре стран изучаемого языка.
Тип урока: урок-викторина.

Ход мероприятия
I. Организационный момент
– Good morning, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you. I hope you are OK.
II. Объявление цели урока
– Today is a special day. We will revise everything that we learned on the topic “DO YOU KNOW ENGLISH-SPAEKING COUNTRIES?”
III. Объяснение правил игры
You will have a chance to take part in an interesting game, which is called “Auction”. We will have 3 rounds, the first and the second will have 5 topics, the final – one topic, each topic consists of 5 questions. Each question has its price. Your task is to get as many points as you can.
Данная игра является аналогом телевизионной передачи на телеканале НТВ “Своя игра”. В викторине принимают участие 10-15 учащихся. Игра состоит из двух раундов и финального тура. Участники отвечают на предложенные вопросы и получают очки, которыми оценивается данный вопрос. В первом раунде принимают участие все учащиеся. Во второй раунд проходят 5-7 человек, в финальном туре участвует только 1 ученик, набравший наибольшее количество баллов, где ему придется ответить на один вопрос, ценность которого определят выбывшие участники. Каждый раунд содержит специальную категорию “Кот в мешке” и “Аукцион”.
