1. Warm-up
Answer the following questions.
What do we usually buy for breakfast?
What do you like to have for dinner?
What vegetables, fruits and berries do you know?
What dairy products do you (your mother, father) like?
2. Word Study
at the grocer’s, at the baker’s, at the butcher’s, at the greengrocer’s, at the confectioner’s.
a) Listen to the sentences and guess the meaning of the words given above.
Sugar, salt, buckwheat are sold at the grocer’s. Bread is sold at a baker’s. We buy meat at a butcher’s. Fruits and vegetables are sold at a greengrocer’s. We go to the confectioner’s
for pies, cakes, pastry and sweets.
b) Play the game “In the Shop”.
May I have…”.
I’m sorry, but I have no more left. Come any other day”.
Be so kind as to show me…”.
“Покупатель” спрашивает о цене: “What is the price?”
