Ход урока
1. Начало урока. Целеполагание.
Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you. Nowadays people use more and more modern gadgets and devices in everyday life. For example, they communicate using the Internet, e-mail, cell phones. Some people can’t imagine their lives without them.
As you know new technology develops swiftly. New technology makes our life easier.
Today we will talk and discuss what will happen in the near future.
2. Развитие умений просмотрового чтения: (Приложение № 1)
Teacher: Please, read the predictions of different people and say which of them describes what is most likely to happen in the near future.
(Ученики читают тексты упражнения и выполняют задание.)
Pupil 1: Roads will become so busy and we will not be able to use cars. We’ll have better forms of public transport.
Pupil 2: There will be houses in which everything is controlled by computer. You’ll be able to control these functions from your Internet site.
Pupil 3: The information technology will continue to drive change in the next century. There will be 100 computers per person, mostly combined with other things.
3. Формирование грамматических навыков.
1) Повторение образования простого будущего времени.
Teacher: What grammar structure is used in these texts?
Pupil 1: Future Simple.
Teacher: Let’s revise how we form Future Simple. (Слайд № 1). Презентация
(С опорой на слайд ученики объясняют образование простого будущего времени, какое действие в будущем выражает. Выполняют упражнения на повторение простого будущего времени.)
2) Введение клише и конструкций для описания будущего. (Слайд №2)
Teacher: We can use Future Simple to predict the future. When we predict the future we often use will with phrases …
3) Отработка клише и конструкций для описания будущего. Развитие умений чтения схемы. (Приложение № 2)
На доске написано незнакомое слово: obsolete ['ɔbs(ə)li:t] - устарелый; вышедший из употребления; старомодный.
(Учащиеся выполняют упражнение индивидуально в рабочих тетрадях, затем слабые ученики зачитывают предложения.)
Pupil 1: 22% of teenagers believe that desk computers will become obsolete.
Pupil 2: 26% of teenagers expect that CD-s will become obsolete.
Pupil 3: 17% of teenagers hope that land-line telephones will become obsolete.
Pupil 4: 33% of teenagers are sure that fuel-powered automobiles will become obsolete.
4) Развитие творческого воображения.
Teacher: What other predictions can you make about the future of modern technologies? Write predictions of your own.
(Учащиеся записывают свои идеи в рабочие тетради).
Pupil 1: I think that radio will disappear soon.
Pupil 2: I guess a mobile telephone will become obsolete by 2115.
Pupil 3: I believe the public transport will be different. There will be flying high-speed taxis in cities. People won’t be late. No doubt they’ll have more leisure time. And they’ll communicate more with each other alive.
Pupil 4: I’m sure a PC will be like a tablet we’ll be able to carry it in a pocket or a handbag.
Pupil 5: I hope people will work at home; they’ll participate in any conference or meeting using the high-speed Internet. The Internet will be free.
Pupil 6: No doubt people will fly to space in fifty years. Planets like our Earth will be discovered and people will be able to live and work there. Unusual buildings will be constructed on those planets, they will be suitable and convenient for living.
Teacher: Fine. Technology develops. And what about a human? Look at the slide. (Слайд № 4). You see a future human. (Ученикам раздаются карточки. Приложение № 3) Read his description in Russian and at home you should translate it into English.
