I. Greetings

absent? What did you do yesterday? What will you do tomorrow?
II. Warming-up exercises. The aim of the lesson
T: Look at these pictures. Who are they? Name them. (Charlie Chaplin,
Pablo Picasso, Albert Einstein, M. Thatcher, Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana, Mark
Twain, G. Washington, W. Shakespeare).
Ps: This is Ch. Chaplin. He was a famous actor, etc.
Т: Good. Who can guess what we are going to speak about today.
Ps: About famous people.
T: Well done. Today we are going to know all about M.Twain.
III. Homework. (SB Ex. 48 p. 94 – read and translate, make 6 questions)
1) All Write Round Robin.
Mix, read your questions to your classmates. Find out the questions you don’t have.
Write them in your papers. Examples:
– Who is M. Twain?
– What do you know about him?
– Why did literary clubs invite M. Twain to speak?
– Why did a club member ask him to tell a funny story?
