First of all, pay attention to the former emblem of Konigsberg. You could see it everywhere in Konigsberg.

– Do you know anything about this emblem?

A: I know it’s the emblem of 3 old towns, as it seems to me.

B: Oh, yes, Natasha, be so kind, tell our American students about this emblem.

A: With pleasure. Well,

There were 3 small towns before 1724 – Altstadt, Lebenicht and Kneiphoff. Every town had its own emblem.

This is the emblem of Altstadt. Against the silver background you can see a red crown of Czech King.

At the bottom against the red background there is a cross of Teutonic order

This is the emblem of Lebenicht. It depicts a gold crown and 2 gold stars.

This is the emblem of Kneiphoff. The arm in blue clothes holds a gold crown against the background of silver-blue waves. On the left and on the right, on both sides you can see hunter’s horns. In 1724 during the reign of King Friedrich Wilhelm I, three small towns merged into one. That’s why the emblem of 3 old towns was depicted on the emblem of Konigsberg.

в) Учить учащихся восприятию на слух с опорой на догадку и запрашиванию дополнительной информации с целью добиться понимания по теме “Основание Кёнигсберга”. Guide: Thank you very much. So we are in former Kenigsberg. As you know Kenigsberg was founded many years before.

By the end of the World War I Königsberg was surrounded by fifteen big forts. Fort 3 “King Friedrich III” and Fort 5 “King Friedrich Wilhelm III” are worth seeing too.
– I'll try to remember. Thank you for the information.
