1.Good afternoon! You may take your seats! I am very glad to see you today! | T —> CI
2. Introduction. It’s a fact people didn’t have mobile phones
in the past. Well! How did they exchange the information? What are the modern ways of communicating in case you need to express a complaint or make a request, or just to write “A thank you letter” |
T <—> CI | |
Oh, yes! You’re right. You should learn the art of letter writing. As it follows the topic of our lesson today is writing for communication. |
T <—> CI | |
You know, you can contact a company or a friend, so you’re sure to
choose the correct style - formal or informal. What do you think? Do the styles differ much? What are the main differences? |
St <—> Cl | |
1) I guess you don’t mind having some practical work. You’re to prove you know the styles! Analyse the mix of expressions( they’re all here). Choose the appropriate ones according to the rubrics - informal style formal style |
T <—> CL | |
(Дано множество выражений из которых надо определить к какому стилю они относятся) | St1 <—> St2
2) Now we’re moving to a new stage of our practice. You’re to match the useful expressions, formal or informal, with their meaning. (необходимо соединить выражения с одинаковым значением, но разных стилей)
3) Do you enjoy getting surprises? Sure, you do. And here comes a surprise of mine-A LETTER WITH GAPS! Mind you don’t leave any gap without a special expressions. (дано письмо с пропусками в которое необходимо вставить выше использованные выражения) | T <—> CI St1 <—> Cl St <—> CI |
|
4) Just to charge you with some energy I suggest you should work in groups. I guess there will be three groups, no more. | T <—> CI
5) A new problem is coming to you! I guess it’s not an easy one as you have to restore the letter. Each group gets a special task. The 1-st group is to restore an informal letter, the 2-d to restore the formal letter…..(даны разрезанные письма 3-х видов. Каждая группа выполняет своё письмо) | T <—> CI
6) Now editing! An exciting process I should say! It’s just because you can take up the role of an editor and enjoy all the hardships they experience. But before it let’s revise the special symbols which we call punctuation. You don’t to do anything but to match the symbols and their meanings. Now you’ve been the editors and why not be in the role of secretaries? | T <—> CI Cl —> St1 <—> T |
|
In fact, you’re supposed to check grammar, spelling, the letter style.
I have got in stock. Ger ready and enjoy working being an editors.( дано
письмо в котором необходимо исправить все виды
ошибок.) Well done! But I’m sure you don’t know how It’s difficult to be a stenographist. Your next task will be the next – to write the letter by listening. |

Thank you for you work and attention see you tomorrow, children! | T <—> St1 |
