Цели и задачи:

Практические (обучающие):

  1. Обобщить и проконтролировать знание учащимися языкового материала по теме.
  2. Проконтролировать умение учащихся употреблять в речи модальный глагол must/mustn’t.
  3. Проконтролировать навыки монологической речи.
  4. Проконтролировать навыки аудирования.

Развивающие:

  1. Развивать логическое мышление, внимание, память учащихся.
  2. Развивать творческую активность и самостоятельность учащихся.
  3. Развивать интерес к изучению английского языка.

Воспитательные:

  1. Воспитывать чувство ответственности за окружающий мир животных.
  2. Воспитывать стремление творчески выполнять задания.

Оснащение урока: раздаточный материал, видеозапись, проектные работы учащихся, плакат.

Ход урока.

I. Организационный момент. Приветствие.

Teacher: Hello, children. I’m very glad to see you today. Let’s start our lesson. At the lesson today we continue to speak on our theme «Wildlife». We’ll revise a lot of words, watch a video, do some exercises and speak much on our theme.

II. Основная часть.

1. Фонетическая и речевая зарядка. (Активизация изученной лексики в речи учащихся.)

1) Do you know the names of wild animals? Let’s see. This word puzzle will help us. Find

eleven animals in the puzzle. By the way, words go in two directions. Find a word, circle it,

then read and translate into Russian.

2) What other wild animals do you know? Give English equivalents of the following words:

медведь (bear), заяц (hair), лиса (fox), пума (puma), ёж (hedgehog), крокодил (crocodile),

орёл (eagle), бизон (bison), белка (squirrel), дельфин (dolphin), обезьяна (monkey), шимпанзе (chimp), жираф (giraffe).

3) Today we need adjectives. So, let’s revise them too.

a) Say in English: интересный (interesting), дружелюбный (friendly), огромный (huge), редкий (rare), красивый (lovely), странный (strange), сильный (strong), опасный (dangerous), умный (intelligent).

b) Now complete the sentences with adjectives.

1. Animals aren’t boring. I think they are ….. (interesting).

2. Elephants aren’t big. They are ….. (huge).

3. There aren’t many tigers in the world now. They are ….. (rare).

4. Golden eagles aren’t horrible. I think they are ….. (lovely).

5. Chimps live in families and they are very ….. (friendly).

4) And now let’s revise parts of an animal. Read and translate the words into Russian (P1, P2).

body (тело, туловище), head (голова), eyes (глаза), ears (уши), neck (шея), legs (ноги), feet (ступни), tail (хвост), wings (крылья).

(затем отработка хором за учителем).

2. Загадки о диких животных. (аудирование)

So, we have revised a lot of words about animals. Now, I think, you are ready to guess the riddles.

1) It’s black and white. It lives in Africa. It can run very well. What animal is it? (zebra)

2) It lives in Africa and Asia. It’s grey and huge. It has got a very long nose (trunk). It eats only

grass, fruit and vegetables. (elephant)

3) This animal is a reptile. It lives in water. It has got very sharp teeth. It eats fish, meat and

sometimes people. It’s green and very dangerous. (crocodile)

3. Употребление модального глагола must/mustn’t.

Wild animals are very interesting that’s why people like to visit such places, as zoos and wildlife parks where animals live. Do you remember the rules at wildlife parks and zoos? I hope you do. Now complete the rules with must or mustn’t. (предложения на доске)

  2. 2. You ….. smoke. (mustn’t)
  3. You ….. feed the animals. (mustn’t)
  4. 4. You ….. be careful. (must)
  5. You ….. tease the animals. (mustn’t)

4. Работа с видеофрагментом.

Now we are going to watch a video about animals. Be very attentive and try to answer the following questions. They are on the board. Let’s read and translate them:

  1. What animals are they?
  2. What are they like? (physical appearance)
  3. What can they do well?
  4. What can you say about their personalities?

(просмотр видеосюжета «Monkey World». Беседа с учащимися на основе увиденного. Ответы на вопросы.)

5. Защита проектов о своём любимом животном.

Now it’s time to have a look at your projects. Who wants to tell us about your favourite wild animals?

(Защита проектов. По окончании рассказа учащийся задаёт вопросы группе.)

Вывод урока:

Well, our lesson comes to the end. So, we must make a conclusion. A lot of animals live on our planet. They are big and small, dangerous and friendly. But all of them want to exist. What must we do to help them?

Pupils: We must protect wild animals.

We mustn’t hurt them. etc.

III. Заключительная часть урока.
