Задачи:

  • активизировать и закреплять лексику по теме: «Спорт»;
  • отрабатывать правильное произношение слов, словосочетаний;
  • совершенствовать речевые умения и навыки;
  • развивать рецептивные и продуктивные виды  речевой деятельности (аудирование, говорение, письмо, чтение);
  • развивать интерес к иностранному языку и желание говорить на нём;
  • развивать  языковую догадку;
  • воспитывать умение работать в парах, группе.

ХОД УРОКА

1. Организационной момент

– Hello, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you! I hope you are feeling well today! Let’s begin our lesson!

– Who guessed the theme of our lesson?

4. Речевая разминка

– Do you like sport?  Why is sport so important in our life?
– What kinds of sport do you know?

– Label the pictures with the names of the sports.

6. Word building

People who go in for different sport have different names.
How do we call people who:
– play football, cricket, rugby, tennis;
– do weightlifting, judo;
– go swimming, jumping, running, windsurfing.

7. Listening

– Listen to check your answers.

8. Speaking

– If you want to go in for sports you need traits of character and skills. What skills should different sportsmen have?
– Let’s divide into pairs and make some sentences.

9. Watching

– Watch the video and complete the sentences.

Description

a) Played by two teams of eleven players. Every player has a stick. This game is played on the grass and ice.
b) Played by two teams of five players. Players are usually tall. The game is very fast and the teams score a lot of points.
c) Played with two people of four people. They play with racquets and a ball. Every year there is a big competition at Wimbledon.
d) Played by two teams of eleven players. Normally they players all wear white. This sport is popular in the UK, India, Australia and South Africa. A full game can last five days.
e) Played with two teams of eleven and a ball. Played in nearly every country in the world. It has a World Cup every four years. Brazil won the World Cup in 2002.
f) Played with two teams and a ball. The men wear a lot of clothes to protect them. They do not kick the ball very much. Most of the time they throw the ball.
g) Like American football but the players do not wear a lot of protective clothing. There are two teams of fifteen people. This game is played a lot in the UK as well as in Australia and New Zealand.
h) Played by two teams of six and a ball. They may hit the ball with the hand. Players don’t have to touch the net.
