Цель урока: систематизация знаний по теме «Дом, квартира»

Задачи урока:

  • развивать умения и навыки устной речи:
    • учить понимать на слух основное содержание небольшого текста;
    • учить рассказывать о  своем доме/квартире;
    • учить вести диалог, используя знакомый языковой материал;
  • практиковать учащихся в употреблении оборота “There is/are…” и предлогов места;
  • развивать память, внимание, логическое мышление, речь путём обогащения и усложнения её словарного запаса на иностранном языке;
  • воспитывать культуру общения, интерес к изучению иностранного языка.

Оборудование: картинки с изображением мебели, рисунки, выполненные учениками,
мультимедийный проектор и экран.

ХОД УРОКА

1. Организационный момент

Teacher: Good afternoon, boys and girls! I am glad to see you. How are you? I hope that you are well today. Take your seats. Get ready for the lesson.

2. Речевая разминка (с активизацией структуры There is/ are). Слайд 2

Teacher: Today we have our English lesson in a new classroom. We haven`t been here before. I hope that you will like it. You can take a look around the classroom.
– Can you compare this classroom with our English classroom?
– What is similar? (Blackboard, desks, chairs, flowers, computer, projector, size of the room,  colour of the walls, curtains – blinds, posters, windows)

Pupil: There are 6 desks in our classroom, and there are 15 desks here (etc.).

Teacher: What is different?

Pupil: There are no flowers in our classroom, and there are many flowers here (etc.).

Teacher: Well done! I hope that you will feel comfortable in this classroom, and our lesson will be good. Now, please, look at the board and read the topic of our lesson – “Home, sweet home.” – How do you understand this English proverb?
– Do you know any Russian proverbs and sayings about home?
– Today at the lesson we are going to revise everything we know about the flat and the house. Let`s start!

3. Фонетическая разминка (с активизацией структуры There is/are)

Teacher: It`s time to practice some English sounds and words. Look at the board. You can read a short poem about an unusual flat. Try to remember it (Слайды 3-8).

– Is there a rabbit on the floor?
– Is there a cat behind the door?
– Is there a parrot in the hall?
– What is there on the ball?
– What is there in the hat?
– Would you like to live in this flat? Why? Why not?

4. Развитие лексических навыков

Teacher: All children like to play. Let`s play a game “What is missing?” You can see some pictures of the furniture on the board. Try to remember them. Close your eyes. Open your eyes. What is missing?

– The next task is to listen to the definitions of the words and try to guess them.

  1. We sit on it (a chair).
  2.  We sleep on it (a bed, a sofa).
  3. It makes our room light (a lamp).
  4. It shows time (a clock).
  5. We keep our books on it (a bookshelf).
  6. We keep our clothes in it (a wardrobe).
  7. It is warm near it (a fireplace).
  8. It is usually on the floor (a carpet).
  9. I can play different games on it, listen to music and watch films (a computer).
  10.  Now listen to the most difficult riddle.

It`s a pretty white house.
There is no window,
There is no door,
There is no roof,
There is no floor.
But there is a pretty yellow ball inside.
What is it? (An egg) (Слайд 9)

5. Развитие навыка аудирования и чтения

– Listen to what Simon says about his room. Look at the pictures. Guess where Simon`s room is. (Play and Learn English-4, Unit 2, exercise 17 or Enjoy English, MP3, №15)

Hello. I am Simon. I`ve got a room of my own. It`s small but nice. There is a bed, a table, two armchairs and a TV in the room. There are no pictures on the walls but there is a clock. The walls are yellow. There is a blue carpet on the floor. There are ten books on the shelf. I love to read.

6. Динамическая пауза.

Now let`s have a short rest. I know that you like singing songs very much. Do you want to sing a song about sweets? (Cлайд 11)

7. Развитие навыков монологической речи и диалогической речи

(На доске – картинки детей с изображением дома своей мечты и комнаты своей мечты)

Teacher: Your home task for today was to describe your Dream House and Dream Room. Look at the board. Here you can see some nice pictures. Let`s speak about your dreams. Listen to Lena`s story and try to find the picture with her dream house.

(Ученики слушают рассказ “MyDreamHouse” и выбирают соответствующую картинку.)

Teacher: Another task will be to find Oleg`s Dream Room. Please ask him questions about his dream.

(Ученики задают вопросы о комнате и определяют соответствующую картинку.)

8. Подведение итогов урока

Thank you for this lesson. Your work was very interesting. I see that you like your homes very much. Our lesson is called “Home, sweet home”. What is home for you? It`s your mum, dad, grandparents. It`s a place where you feel comfortable and spend a lot of time playing, working and dreaming. For everybody his home is the best place in the world. At the end of the lesson I want you to know some more English proverbs and sayings. (Слайд13)
