Оборудование урока: учебник английского языка Spotlight – 10, рабочая тетрадь Spotlight – 10, презентации обучающихся, раздаточный материал, видеоматериал с сайта.

Цель – формирование коммуникативной компетенции.

Задачи урока:

  • развитие умения представлять результаты своей деятельности;
  • развитие умения давать характеристику и оценку фактов, событий;
  • развитие умения делать выводы;
  • развитие умения участвовать в беседе, запрашивать и обмениваться информацией;
  • развитие умения аргументировать свою точку зрения;
  • развитие познавательной активности,
  • развитие качеств личности, таких как: находчивость, сообразительность, способность к нестандартным решениям, проблемное видение, мобильность, способность к компромиссам, стремление к открытию нового себя.

  Oral speech practice Many people like travelling. Nevertheless, we often feel exciting and aware of our future trip. I think it connects with different problems. What are the problems dealing with travelling? Students give individual answers. Brainstorm.

One of the problems you have named is phobia connected with flying. Now let’s watch a video about the problem. 1. Pre-watching:
  • recollect the characters;
  • give your predictions about the plot of the video;

2. While watching

  • Write down detail to ask your classmates;

3. After-watching activities

  • asking for details;
  • discussing the plot.

  Word-formation drill. But of course many people find more advantages in travelling. Let’s do exercise 5 page 40 (Workbook – 10, “A trip to remember”). It has got an idea we are going to speak about then. Students do exercise. Students’ individual work.

General check.

  Oral speech practice The exercise we have just done describes a trip that has made a great impression on the narrator. Have you ever made a trip that made a great impression on you positive or negative? Students give individual answers. Others ask qualifying questions. Verbal communication.
  Listening comprehension. Now we are going to listen to some stuff concerning the topic. Listen to five people talking about their summer holidays. Ex. 1 p. 43 in workbooks.

General check.

  Oral speech practice There are different ways of spending holidays. Before going to somewhere people plan their holidays and consult different tour agencies. Is it difficult to be a tour agent? Now let’s see how successful you are in this role. Students in turn present their projects due to the plan. Others fill in the evaluation cards (see appendixes below) Presentations of the projects
  Reflection I would like you to express your opinion about the project. What was good and what was not successful enough? Students give comments on the points they have given to their classmates. Students’ individual answers
