Цель урока: формирование и развитие коммуникативной компетенции, т.е., способности личности осуществлять межкультурное общение на основе усвоенных языковых и социокультурных знаний, развитие речевых навыков и коммуникативных умений.
Развивающий аспект: развитие способностей к языковой догадке, развитие логических операций анализа и синтеза, развитие воображения.
Воспитательный аспект: воспитание желания расширять кругозор, уважительного отношения к другой культуре, толерантности и умения работать в группе.
Учебный аспект: активизация лексических единиц по теме «телевидение» в речи, формирование навыков монологической и диалогической речи, развитие навыков поискового чтения.
Оснащение урока: карточки с текстом для чтения, карточки с положениями о пользе и вреде телевизионных программ, каточки для деления класса на группы, шапки и мантии для судьи, колокольчик для судьи.
Ход урока.
1. Приветствие. Greeting (1-2 мин). (Hello! How are you?)
2. Лексическая тематическая разминка .Warming up activities (3 мин). Nowadays more and more people spend about 3-4 hours in front of TV. What about you? Do you often watch TV? What programmes do you prefer? (Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы о телевидение, повторяя лексические единицы по теме. Фронтальная работа).
3.Постановка цели урока (1 мин).The theme of our lesson is television. Today we must answer the question: «How television influence on us?».(Учитель записывает тему урока на доске).
4. Развитие навыков поискового чтения. Reading (10 мин). Read the text and then complete the statements after it. (Приложение 1. Учащиеся читают текст и выполняют задания по тексту).
5. Развитие навыков говорения. Speaking (20 мин).
- Индивидуальная форма работы. Now let’s speak about your favorite programmes. What TV programmes do you know? Which is the most popular of them? Why?
Make a short talk about the programme you like and then express your opinion.
( Учащиеся составляют устный рассказ о любимой телевизионной программе с помощью опорных предложений).
- Работа в группах.Work in group. Today we will play a game “COURT”. Imagine that we are in court. We are going to take a trial “Bad TV programmes”. Let’s think how television influence on children. Organize a talk about the influence of television on young children. Work in groups.(Учащиеся с помощью карточек делятся на группу судей, адвокатов, обвинителей)
Work in 3 groups. The first group will be prosecutors, the second one will be lawyers and others will be judges. The first group is to speak about good influence and the second one is to speak about bad influence that television may have. The cards on the blackboard can help you. At the end Judges will try to find general conclusion. (На доске карточки. Приложение 3.)
They must make a decision of TV programmes and prove it. Judges should consider all the details and facts.
(Учащиеся делятся на 3 группы. Первая группа ищет аргументы в пользу телевидения, вторая против. Затем лидеры групп делают свои заключения о пользе и вредности телевидения. Записывают их в форме доклада).
Pupils take an active part in discussion and do the following assumptions:
Arguments in favor of television being a bad influence.
- Television makes children violent and aggressive.
- Television discourages face-to-face interaction among children or families.
- Sitting passively in front of the television leads to weight gain, increasing of diabetes in children and heart disease in adults.
- Television programmes model undesirable behavior such as drug and alcohol use unhealthy relationships.
Arguments against television being a bad influence.
- Television is an easy and inexpensive way to get information.
- Television allows us to create a national culture, because it gives people something in common to talk about.
- Television provides some good role models for children.
At the end of discussion pupils come to a conclusion that children should watch TV programmes corresponding their age and under supervision of adults.
6. Развитие навыков письма. Writing (10 мин). Please write a short article with your point of view. The best one we will publish on our site in Internet. Start fom: “I think, that television…”.
7. Подведение итогов (2 мин).Thank you very much. You worked hard, so you will get good marks. ( Учитель подводит итог урока и выставляет оценки). Our lesson is over. What did we do during the lesson?
8. Домашние задание. Найди в интернете информацию о телевидение, его положительных и отрицательных качествах.

TV nowadays.
Whether we realize it or not, TV plays a very important part in our lives.
It’s the main source of information and a cheap form of entertainment for millions of people. It’s the window on the world which gives us opportunity to “travel” all over the world, to “meet” different people and learn about their customs and traditions. It has the power to educate and broaden our minds.
It helps us to relax after a hard day’s work and escape from reality. There is always a great variety of programmes on TV: news, sports programmes, talk shows and TV games, documentary and feature, concerts and theatre performances…
But some people think that television is a terrible waste of time. It makes us lazier. We stay at home instead of going out. We read less. We think less. We even talk less. It’s true that some TV addicts spend hours in front of the “box” watching whatever’s on-from second –rate Mexican soap to silly commercials.
The trick is to learn to control television and use intelligently. The idea is to turn on the TV-set only when there is a really interesting programme.
