Цели: Активизация лексического материала по теме “Сколько стран, столько и обычаев”, систематизация знаний об отдельных фактах истории Великобритании, США и России, их главных городах, символах, знакомство с биографиями знаменитых людей этих стран.
Задачи:
Учебная:
- совершенствование грамматических навыков: способы выражения будущности в современном английском языке,
- совершенствование навыков чтения с целью извлечения необходимой информации,
- формирование орфографических навыков,
- развитие монологической речи учащихся, формирование лексических навыков.
Воспитательная:
- развитие культурного уровня учащихся,
- развитие интереса к изучению английского языка,
- воспитание толерантности к иноязычной культуре.
Развивающая:
- развитие аналитических способностей,
- развитие умения логически мыслить, рассуждать, описывать.

I. Организационный момент.
1. Приветствие.
Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls! I am glad to see you!
Pupils: We are glad to see you too!
2. Объяснение целей урока
Teacher: Today we shall continue to study the topic “So many countries, so many customs” and you will read a text to learn more about traditions and customs. We are going to practice Future Indefinite Tense, the phrase to be going to…, Present Continuous Tense.
At the beginning of the lesson let’s revise how to read some words.
II. Введение в коммуникацию.
Фонетическая зарядка.
Teacher: First let’s revise some words. How many words from the Unit “So many countries, so many customs” do you know? Look at the blackboard. You see phonetic sounds. Name the words from our topic with these sounds.

Teacher: We are at the airport now. Look at the pictures. What do you think they mean?
Teacher: We are in Moscow now. Who can describe me the flag of Russia?
Teacher: Name me places in Moscow where you would like to take your friend.
Teacher: Do you remember any facts about the Russian history? Then answer the following questions.

Teacher: Open your books. Ex.20 p.74-77. Let’s read the text. Try and prove that every country has its own traditions and customs.
Now let’s do Ex .21 p. 77
I hope you remember that there are a lot of famous people in English speaking countries. Now we shall read some texts about Christopher Columbus, James Cook and Francis Drake. And then we shall complete the chart.
