Материал представляет собой план-конспект урока со всей необходимой информацией, а также комментариями для учителя для проведения урока. Кроме того к уроку предлагается презентация Power Point для обеспечения наибольшей наглядности.

Представленный материал предоставляет шанс учителю варьировать урок в зависимости от уровня подготовки учащихся и их мотивированности. Так, например, учитель может выбрать из трех предложенных вариантов при разгадывании кроссворда:

  • Прямой вопрос;
  • Описательный текст с нужным словом;
  • Картинка.

Отметим также музыкальное сопровождение данного урока. Выбранная песня группы The Beatles, во-первых, имеет страноведческую функцию, а во-вторых, представляет собой способ мотивации даже самых слабых учащихся, так как слова песни достаточно просты для понимания, а мотив запоминающийся. В данном случае учитель может выбрать сам, какие слова в песне оставить пропущенными, ориентируясь на уровень подготовки учеников. Исполнение песни хором в конце урока приветствуется.

Задачи урока:

  • Практические: развивать умение иноязычного общения в различных ситуациях; формировать коммуникативные умения слушать, говорить; реализовать творческий потенциал.
  • Образовательные: учить понимать иностранную речь в игровой ситуации, знакомить с историей и фольклором страны изучаемого языка, активизировать лексический запас.
  • Развивающие: развивать творческую фантазию, познавательный интерес, инициативу.
  • Воспитательные: воспитать умение работать в коллективе, чувство взаимной ответственности, культуру общения.

Форма проведения урока: игровая.

Оборудование: доска, презентация Power Point, диск.

Today we’ll learn some interesting facts about Great Britain and check what you already know!

Here is a puzzle for you! We have the first part of a saying and the other one is hidden in this puzzle! Your task is to answer the questions about Great Britain and learn the saying!

1. What is the most ancient stone circle in Great Britain?

IT is located on the Salisbury plain, England. There is no specific evidence about who built IT. It is believed that Druids, Greeks, or Atlanteans might have built IT.
