Тип урока: комбинированный урок.

Цель урока: совершенствовать свои знания о мире и разнообразии его составляющих, прививать культуру восприятия незнакомых явлений и их толерантной оценки.

Задачи урока:

Практические:

  • продолжить работу по формированию ключевых компетенций обучающихся;
  • обучение основным 4-м видам речевой деятельности;
  • реализация дифференцированного подхода к овладению языковым материалом;
  • формирование умений выделять главную мысль и подтверждать ее;
  • формирование навыков аудирования как средства реализации коммуникативной компетенции обучающихся.

Воспитательные:

  • формирование оценочно-эмоционального отношения к миру;
  • приобщение к культуре и реалиям стран изучаемого языка;

Развивающие:

  • развивать познавательную деятельность обучающихся;
  • развивать умение представлять свою страну в условиях межкультурного общения;
  • раскрывать индивидуальные особенности обучающихся;
  • развивать лингвистическое мышление обучающихся.

Ход урока

I. Greeting. (Приветствие, оргмомент.)

T: Hello, boys and girls! Nice to see you! How are you today?

P: Hello! Nice to see you, too! We’re fine, thank you!

T: Take your seats, please, and we’ll start.

II. Defining the AIMS. (Определение целей и задач урока.)

a) T: Look at the screen, please. I want (P1) to read aloud the topic of our lesson today.

T: Thank you. We are going to learn what you think of it. Let’s find out what the world is made of. What are your opinions?

T: And what is THE KEY FACTOR that makes the world what it is like now?

a) analyse what makes the world;

b) observe in what way people can differ;

c) compare different nations;

d) find out our likes and dislikes.

T: I’ve chosen the words of the Greek thinker and philosopher Socrates as the epigraph to this lesson. (Slide 4)

T: How do you understand it?

T: Exactly so! Everyone is important, no matter how different we are.

III. Dialogue. (Проверка индивидуального домашнего задания-диалог.)

T: To prove this idea, I offer you to listen to the (girls’) dialogue “People are different, people are alike”.

T: So, what can make people different?

IV. Articles. (Грамматическое задание на употребление артиклей в текстах, описывающих внешность людей.)

T: And there is one more example today of how different people may look. But to see it, we have to insert the proper article into two short texts.

V. Short reports. (Проверка индивидуального домашнего задания: монологические высказывания о том, что нравится/не нравится)

T: We all have our likes and dislikes: things that we like to do or hate doing. Let’s listen to our boys, they have prepared short reports about themselves.

VI. Agree/Disagree. (Выразите свою точку зрения, используя фразы согласия/несогласия.)

T: I suggest taking part in the discussion. Express your ideas on the following statements, using the phrases of agreement and disagreement.

T: People behave differently and their activity can bring both useful and useless results. Let’s see what happened in Australia. We are going to listen to the text, but before it have a look at the new words.

T: Even if people do the same thing, they can do it differently and can surprise other people. Your home text was about it. Open your NEF books on page 21. First of all, let’s answer some questions.

  1. What categories of people are under discussion?
