Aim: to learn about the unique artist from stanitsa Glazunovskaya.
Tasks: to find out the fate of our countryman, veteran Agafonov Alexander Vasilievich.
Teacher: We live in the old Cossack stanitsa Glazunovskaya. Our stanitsa is a home of the famous Don writer Fyodor Kryukov. We are proud of our native stanitsa nowadays too because the unique talented artist lives here.
Pupils: He was born on the 8-th of June in 1924 in Rostov region. He began to draw when he was a little boy. His father, Vasilii Ivanovich, was a driver.His mother, Vera Galaktionovna, was a housewife. After leaving school Alexander Vasilievich worked in “Zagotzerno”, then in the collective farm.
In 1942, at the age of 18, he went to the front. There was neither paper nor a pen A young soldier draw on the marching pot with coal.
His front way began on the river Donets, near stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, where he was wounded.
There was the second wound in the city Kamensk of Rostov region. After the hospital Alexander Vasilievich served in the 62-nd army on Dnepr. The battle in Kursk became the last one for the soldier Agafonov.He has got a complex head wound and he was sent into rear in 1944.
During the war Alexander Vasilievich met a beautiful girl Masha. He came to her to stanitsa Glazunovskaya from the front. He worked as a war teacher in Kumylzhenskaya school, a driver, a librarian in Glazunovskaya, an artist in the House of Culture, a tractor-driver in the collective farm for 18 years. He has been painting for these years.

Expected results: to get information about an outstanding talented artist of our native stanitsa.
We have learnt: Alexander Vasilievich Agafonov is talented from God, veteran of the war, order-bearer. Every year tens of children visit the famous artist. His house has already became a museum for his countrymen.
He has got more than 200 works, some of them are given to museums. He is a producer of his life and he selects colours to it by himself. He wants to show everything that is alive today. tomorrow it can disappear. He has got many awards: war orders and medals and diplomas for his pictures.
Everything in Alexander Vasilievich Agafonov's life is as in a famous parable:
- he has had a son;
- he has planted a tree;
- he has built a house.
