Monologue
Scientific achievements and technological progress make it obvious that robots will play an important role in our future. There will be different robots. Some of them will help people do routine and monotonous jobs.
Computer scientists in Japan and the USA believe that robots will be friends and helpers. Scientists see the next step is making robots that can feel and show emotion.
The robots of today can talk, play football, walk, collect information, because a robot’s brain is computer.
Of course, Robots will help make people’s lives easier.

Dialogue speech
Shop assistant: Good morning. Can I help you?
Customer: I am sure you can. You see, I am fond of collecting books about inventors and their inventions. I am interested in a book about Charles Babbage.
Shop assistant: What is he? I haven’t heard anything about him?
Customer: Really? Charles Babbage is considered by most to be the “Father of Computing. He had invented the analytical engine which established the basic principles of computing.
Shop assistant: To tell the truth? I thought that only Bill Gates’ name is connected with computers.
We haven’t got a book about Charles Babbage. As far as I know he is one of the richest men in the work.
Customer: You are quite right. Bill Gates is the richest person, but on the other hand he wrote a book on the computer language BASIC, he founded Microsoft. But the invention of the computer belongs to Charles Babbage.
Shop assistant: I try to do my best for to getting this book. Come and see our shop again.
Customer: Thank you very much.
