Задачи:
- повторение изученных слов по теме «Описание внешности»;
- развитие умений аудирования;
- знакомство с героями англоязычной детской литературы;
- развитие умений речевого взаимодействия в игре;
- развитие умений поискового чтения;
- развитие техники чтения вслух;
- развитие умений вести беседу о внешности людей (диалог - расспрос);
- развитие умений продуктивного письма – текст – описание любимого героя книги (по плану).
Оборудование: проектор, ноутбук, презентация, учебник.

I. Начальный этап
1. Приветствие
– Good morning, students. Sit down please. Glad to see you. How are you?
2. Введение в речевую ситуацию
– What did you do yesterday? Did you read a book? What kind of books do you prefer to
read? What is your favourite book? What is your favourite character?
– So, Reading is not only popular in Russia but in Britain as well. What famous
characters from English books do you know? (Harry Potter, Peter Pan…)
– Today we’re going to meet some of them and to meet new characters from English
books. Look at the screen, please.

– Here is a dialogue. Please, look through it and say where they are: at the theatre or
at the party? (Аt the theatre); Where do you prefer to go?
– Which characters were in the play? (Alice and the Duchess)
– So, let’s check your answers and listen to it.

4. Развитие умений поискового и изучающего чтения
– Now, please, let’s read the dialogue by yourself once more and mark the sentences True or False. You can see them on the screen.

– Let’s take roles and act the dialogue.
6. Развитие умений вести беседу о внешности людей (диалог-расспрос)
– We can not only describe the characters, but our relatives, parents, friends as well. Now you will work in pairs. One of you will ask the questions about your friends or a family and your partner will answer, then you’ll change your roles. Look at the screen. This table can help you make up the conversation.

2. Объяснение домашнего задания
– At home you’re going to write down a short paragraph about your favourite character in the book. Use the plan on the screen or on your desks you have the same plan.
