Тема урока: Australia. Интегрированный урок (английский язык, география и биология) с использованием ИКТ и проектной технологии.

Цели и задачи урока:

  1. закрепление и активизация иноязычного материала,
  2. развитие монологической и диалогической речи,
  3. закрепление лексики по теме «Животные Австралии»,
  4. расширение географических знаний,
  5. развитие навыков публичных выступлений с докладом,
  6. формирование навыков интегрированного применения иностранного языка.

Материалы и оборудование:

Документальный DVD-фильм BBC: Дикая Австралазия (BBC: Wild Australasia), 3 карты Австралии (географическая, административная и карта животного мира), компьютер, свободнораспространяемая программа для создания презентаций и слайдов — OpenOffice Impress, презентация урока (формат odp), мультимедийный проектор, проекционный экран.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

1. Приветствие

— Hello, boys and girls! I`m glad to see you.

2. Постановка цели урока

— Imagine that we are having a geography lesson today. Let`s speak about Australia.

II. Аудирование (Listening comprehension)

1. Просмотр DVD-фильма «Дикая Австралазия».

— At the beginning of the lesson we`ll see some fragments of the BBC videofilm “Wild Australasia”. Then you will answer my questions.

2. Контроль аудирования через постановку вопросов на выбор (multiply choice)

  1. Was America or Australia the last continent to discover?
  2. Is Australia situated in the Northern or in the Southern hemisphere?

— And now it`s time for the students` projects. We`ve got five reports on the topic. Listen attentively and try to answer the questions of each reporter.

  3. The duckbill and the anteater are the only primitive mammals that lay eggs.

— The laughing kookaburra is well known both as a symbol of Australia’s birdlife. Native to the eucalyptus forests of eastern Australia, the laughing kookaburra is the largest member of the Kingfisher family.

— Let`s listen to the kookaburra singing. What does this sound remind you of?

— Australians like kookaburra so much that they even made up a song about it. Let`s read the poem.

VI. Развитие диалогической речи

— Imagine that one of you have just come back from Australia . Make up a dialogue and share your information with your friend.

VII . Подведение итогов

Выставление оценок, домашнее задание.

— I think it was an interesting and very informative lesson. Now you know a little bit more about this Southern continent.

All the reporters did their best and deserve excellent marks.

At the next lesson we`ll have a short dictation. Revise the names of Australian animals.

We`ve got some minutes left. Let`s see some shots of Australian Landscapes (Слайды 46-53).
