Разработка урока по теме "Collecting is a good hobby"

Цели.

1. Знакомство с результатами опроса газеты The Young Telegraph об увлечениях британских детей, с популярными хобби.
2. Развитие способности к слуховой дифференциации, осуществлять репродуктивные и продуктивные речевые действия.
3. Формирование потребности и способности понимать образ жизни и поведение людей другой культуры, понимать и уважительно относиться к мнению другого человека.
4. Формирование грамматических навыков говорения (-ed and -ing adjectives).

Речевой материал: interesting – interested in, boring – bored with, exciting – excited about; to take up.

Задача: развитие умения читать и понимать на слух с целью извлечения общей и детальной информации.

Оборудование: УМК (учебник, аудиосопровождение, ТСО), наглядность (магниты, стикеры, брелоки, марки и т.д.), речевые опоры (аргументы за и против коллекционирования).

Ход урока

1. На доске нарисован кроссворд.

Учитель: Guess the topic of our today’s lesson.

1. What means of transport is the most popular when we go to the village (dacha)?
2. What should we do if we want to air the classroom?
3. What is the capital of the UK?
4. What do you do at the opera?
5. What foreign language do we learn?
6. What can you send to your friends when you are on holiday?
7. What do you use if you want to chat with your friend who is at home?

T.: And now read the key-word. Ps read: Collect. Form another word from collect, please. Ps: collection, collector, collecting.

T.: So what is the topic? P1: Collecting is a good hobby.

T.: OK, now repeat after me, please.

If we have a big collection of something we can boast to our friends, can’t we?

I have a nice collection of cats and I can boast to my friends.

The boy boasts to his friends that his father has the best collection of expensive cars.

The girl boasts to her friends that her mother has the best collector of paintings.

Make up similar sentences.

Now tell me please Do you collect things? How many things have you got? Are they expensive? Why do you collect them?

4. Аудирование.

a) Now we are going to listen to the text on the tape.

First open your books on p.192, read the task and look through the table. What do indoor activities and outdoor activities mean?

Indoor activities – activities at home, outdoor activities – in the grounds.

So listen and tick according to the task (текст о свободном времени англичан)

После прослушивания: Which items is there information on the tape about?

(Indoor, outdoor, hobbies, work and jobs, youth organizations, camps, sports, weekends)

b) Listen to the text for the second time and answer the question What do the British children like collecting?

(Matchboxes, postcards, stickers, stamps, posters)

5. Чтение с детальным пониманием.

What is the top-list of things that Russian young people collect? – Ответы учащихся…

And after you read Collect-a-mania, you’ll learn the most popular things which young people in Britain collect. Read and make a top-list.

Учащиеся читают про себя Text p.193 и составляют список наиболее популярных вещей (рейтинг, top-list).

На доске прикреплены аргументы за и против:

Учитель раздает детям предметы для коллекционирования (марки, CD, DVD, брелоки, монеты и т.д.). Let’s discuss collecting different things.

Задача детей поговорить в парах:

P1 - предлагает аргументированно коллекционировать то, что у них на парте.

Р2 - соглашается или отказывается, но обязательно аргументирует (give arguments).

Обсуждают, рассказывают о своей коллекции.

6. Домашнее задание: Make a project “Collection I’d like to have” (Дать обоснование: почему, зачем)

7. Итоги урока – объявление оценок. The lesson is over, you may be free.
