Тема урока: Интернет: достоинства и недостатки (The pros and cons of the Internet)
Цель урока: подготовить учащихся к написанию развернутого высказывания на тему: «The pros and cons of the Internet».
Задачи:
- Развивающие – развитие навыков чтения и устной речи.
- Обучающие – научить использовать в устной и письменной речи логические связки.
- Воспитывающие – воспитание разумного отношения к использованию в Интернета.
Оборудование: раздаточный материал, карточки с текстом, мультимедийный проектор, компьютер
ХОД УРОКА
I. Организационный момент (приветствие).
II. Речевая зарядка (повторение лексики по теме)
CD – a round piece of silver plastic you use to play or record information on a
computer;
Cursor – the mark on a computer screen that moves to different icons;
Icon – a small sign or picture on a computer screen;
Modem – a part inside a computer that can receive messages from one computer to another;
Mouse – a piece of equipment you move with your hand to make a computer work;
Printer – a machine that prints pages, posters etc.
Screen – a flat area in a cinema, on a computer, television etc.
III. Работа с текстом «The Pros and Cons of the Internet» (from Mission FCE 2, Course book by Virginia Evans and Jenny Dooley. Express Publishing – текст распечатан из учебника; Приложение 1)
Класс делится на две группы: одна выбирает из текста факты, доказывающие преимущества использования Интернета, вторая – недостатки, делаются записи в тетради. Отдельно обсуждаются положительные и отрицательные стороны покупок в Интернет-магазинах.
Примерные ответы учащихся:
Advantages:
- Find information for work, hobbies, current events;
- It’s easier to surf the net than to go to libraries;
- Read newspapers and magazines, play games
- Plan holidays;
- Buy from the internet shops.
Disadvantages:
- It takes a lot of time to find the information
- Downloading is slow and boring;
- Too much advertising
- “Chat friends” are not the same as actual friends.

IV. Обсуждение текста с использованием следующих выражений (представитель группы приводит довод из текста, представитель второй группы возражает, используя следующие выражения):

– In my opinion
– I’m against;
– I don’t think so

– I’m not so sure
– Don’t exaggerate
V. Обобщение полученной информации, высказывание по плану с использованием слов-связок (опорные слова и выражения на карточках или на экране, Приложение 2)
План высказывания (на экране):
- Introduction
- Arguments for using Internet
- Arguments against using Internet
- Conclusion (your own opinion) (см. Приложение 1 и Приложение 2)
