- If we discuss environmental problems we use different geographical
names. Be careful about using of "the" with the features of the environment. We'll
revise this grammar material. - We use "the" with the name of channels, oceans, seas, rivers and lakes. (click twice) - But don't use "the" in the names with "Lake" (click once) - We don't use any article with the names of continents and countries. (click twice) - But we use "the" in the names with "Republic", "Federation", "State", "Kingdom". (click once) - Don't use "the" in the names of islands.
