Пояснительная записка.

Что такое экология и почему это слово столь актуально в наше время, думаю, объяснять никому не надо. Все мы обязаны жизнью нашей планете - прекрасной Земле, стонущей сегодня от боли, взывающей о помощи и, увы, остающейся по-детски беззащитной перед:нами. Экологические проблемы не знают государственных границ и природных рубежей: они глобальны. Известный французский писатель Антуан де Сент-Экзюпери как-то заметил: "Все мы пассажиры одного корабля по имени Земля, значит, пересесть из него просто некуда".

Задумывая проведение этого урока, я хотела привлечь внимание учащихся к экологической обстановке не только на нашей планете, но и в родном районе. Я хотела, чтобы каждый ученик задумался над тем, что он лично сам смог бы сделать для спасения Земли.

Задачи урока:

1. Совершенствование навыков и умений речевой деятельности на английском языке.

2. Обучать учащихся выражать и аргументировать свое отношение к проблеме.

Образовательная цель: расширение знаний учащихся об экологических проблемах.

Воспитательная цель: формирование уважительного отношения к природе и ответственного отношения к экологическим проблемам, воспитание бережного отношения к природным богатствам, чувства любви к родной природе.

Развивающая цель: развитие информационных умений учащихся, умение обобщать информацию, умение использовать новые информационные технологии.

Ожидаемые результаты:

1. Расширение словарного запаса.

2. Свободное употребление новых лексических единиц по экологической тематике и грамматических структур в речи.

3. Выработка у учащихся личностного эмоционального отношения к экологическим проблемам современного мира.

Оснащение урока: компьютер, мультимедиа проектор и экран, музыкальный центр.

Дополнительные пособия: плакаты "Think globally, act locally!", "Ecology suggests activity!" , "Think of your future!", кроссворды, тесты, раздаточные карточки.

Форма урока: конференция.

Предварительная подготовка:

- изготовление плакатов;

- подбор музыкальной заставки - песни "Как прекрасен этот мир";

- изготовление макета дерева и листочков для пожеланий;

- подготовка мини-проектов группами учащихся по заданным заранее темам.

Методические рекомендации:

Предполагаемый урок имеет экологическую направленность, поэтому на предыдущих уроках учителю следует ознакомить учащихся с некоторыми статьями из журналов и газет на экологическую тему (можно и на русском языке). Можно также вместе с учащимися собрать газетные вырезки и оформить альбом или стенд на тему экологии. Проекты учащихся имеют творческий характер, рекомендуется помощь учителя или старшеклассников.

Ход урока

I. Начальный этап урока

1. Оргмомент.

Представление учителем плана работы конференции.

Teacher: Good morning, dear children and guests! I am glad to see you at our International Ecological conference. We live in the world where there are a lot of ecological problems. Nowadays the global situation in ecology is very serious. Many people all over the world are worried about it and discuss it in Russian, English, French and other languages. We are here to listen to your projects devoted to the problem of environment and to discuss several questions connected with pollution and other environmental problems.

Look at the plan of the conference:

1. Listening: "Pollution in London"

2. Projects:

1) Forms of pollution.

2) Eco problems in our district.

3) What can we do for our planet?

4) A letter to the head of the district.

II. Основной этап урока

1. Аудирование.

Teacher: Listen to the text "Pollution in London" and answer the question "What is the most serious problem in London today?" I will read it two times.

"I live in London. There are so many cars in the streets of the city that pollution is very strong today. The air is dirty and it is bad for our health. I think it is a good idea to have a "no car" day. Everybody must use public transport - buses, trains, bikes or even just your own feet - for one day. The air will be cleaner and the streets will be safer. We are part of the environment. That's why we must help the environment."

2. Представление проектов.

Teacher: Now it's time to listen to your projects. You were divided into three groups. I gave you three problems for discussing. Your task was to find the information and make reports. So each group has made its own project. Now it's time to present your projects to your classmates. One group reports, others listen to, then ask questions or say your impressions. Start, please!

Good morning. Our project is devoted to the problem of pollution. We represent the worldfamous organization "Green peace".

1) Environmental problems endanger people's life.

2) The most serious ecological problems are water pollution, air pollution, land pollution.

3) Pollution of water is a very important problem. Many fish and sea animals are already dead.

4) Some factories pollute the atmosphere with toxins and dangerous chemicals. Most of the pollution comes from cars and buses. That's why it is difficult to breathe in big cities. We need good filters at factories and on cars to make the air clean.

5) Our land is also polluted with toxins and chemicals. There are plastic bottles, tins, glasses everywhere. It is very ugly.

6) The other problem is a problem of disappearing of animals because of bad ecology. The second reason of their death is a man, who kills them for their skin or meat.

7) Today people create different organizations such as "Green Peace", "World Wild Life Fond". They want to help the environment. We must solve ecological problems together.

8) Every day we throw away millions of tones of rubbish. A lot of this is paper, plastic, glass and metal that we can reuse. We must find ways to recycle them.

9) We must use special containers for rubbish.

10) Many natural resources are not forever. Coal, gas, metals, minerals will finish some day. People must find ways to save them. We must also find alternative ways to make energy. We can use the sun, the wind, the sea and the heat of the Earth.

Teacher: Thank you very much! Your project was very good. I liked it. Children, have you any questions? What are your impressions? Did you like the presentation?

We want to tell you about ecological problems in our district.

Yalchikski district is one of the beautiful districts of our republic. There not so many plants and factories, but it has some ecological problems today.

1) The river Tayabinka is polluted. Some people wash their cars in the river.

They drop litter into the river.

2) There are a lot of plastic bottles, tins, paper, glass everywhere. It looks very ugly. Litter is not recycled.

3) People go to the forests and leave litter there. They pick up wild flower which can disappear.

4) People cut down trees in the forests. New trees are not planted. A lot of trees are broken.

5) So please, keep your place clean and tidy!

Teacher: Thank you! I liked your project. I am sure that you all love our district. And I think that you want to see it more beautiful and clean!

We made a Green tree and wrote down our ideas on the leaves. And now we want to read our 'green' rules for you.

Don't make fires in the forests!

Don't pick up wild flowers!

Recycle rubbish!

Don't wash cars in the river!

Your know that polluted air, water and land are harmful to plants, animals and people. We are worried that our river Tayabinka is polluted today. The pollution may kill the fish. It is dangerous to swim in the river because the water is dirty. People wash cars in the river and drop litter in it.

We think that you must put special containers for litter in every village and people will not drop rubbish in the wrong place.

We also think that we must plant more trees in our district, because you know our district has very few forests. Trees and flowers make our home more beautiful.

We are sure that you will help to solve ecological problems in our place.

III. Заключительный этап урока.

1. Подведение итогов урока.

Teacher: Children, what have you learnt today? I hope you all know how to treat the nature. I want you to write down your ideas on these lists. (читаю задание и раздаю листочки "Keeping the Earth clean").

(дети выполняют задание под песню "Как прекрасен этот мир")

2. Объяснение домашнего задания.

Teacher: As a conclusion I want to read a small poem for you. Remember it, please!

If you want the life be cool,
Like a full of coloured picture,
Don't forget one golden rule:
Be a real friend of nature!

Your homework is to translate this poem into Russian. Who will be the best translator? Please do your best!

3. Оценка деятельности учащихся.

Teacher: Children, our lesson is over. You worked really very hard. Good of you!

You get "fives" and "fours" today! (объявляю оценки). Thanks a lot for your work!

4. Завершение урока.

Let's finish our lesson with the song "Please stop!"
