Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку "Towards Christmas"

Цели урока:

  • расширение словарного запаса и обобщение знаний учеников по теме Christmas;
  • развитие умений и навыков монологической и диалогической речи;
  • развитие умений и навыков работы с информационными технологиями;
  • знакомство с рождественскими традициями англоязычных стран;
  • развитие творческих способностей учеников.

Оборудование:

  • новогодние украшения для сцены,
  • компьютер, колонки, проектор и экран,
  • микрофон,
  • карточки с названиями команд и снежинки,
  • детали костюмов команд,
  • раздаточный материал для команд (задания А, В),
  • 2 прозрачные папки с перемешенными строками рифмовок (задание С),
  • фотоаппарат / камера

Лица, принимающие участие в мероприятии:

  • учитель,
  • Санта Клаус,
  • 2 ведущих,
  • 2 команды по 4 ученика
  • выступающие,
  • 2 декламатора,
  • операторы компьютера с проектором и колонками,
  • фото-оператор,
  • оформители сцены и зала.

SCENE 1

Slide 1. Towards Christmas

Teacher:

Dear friends! Glad to see all of you at our party devoted to the coming winter holidays.

Let me introduce my helpers:

(Остают со своих мест лицом к зрителям)

  • computer operator
  • music operator
  • designers (сидят рядом с командами)
  • photographers
  • reporters and schoolsite-obsrevers
  • hosts (за стойкой)

performers (сидят в зрительном зале)

Now, meet two 6 grade teams which are going to compete today in our quiz:

“Snowstorm” vs “Hoar-frost”.

(Команды, состоящие из 4 учеников каждая, сидят за приготовленными для них столами.)

SCENE 2

Slide 2. The Birth of Christ

Host 1:

Let the show begin!

Reciter 1: (декламаторы выходят на сцену из-за кулис)

It’s Christmas time around the world,
You’ll here the Yule bells ring.
Its time for giving, time for love,
It’s time for hearts to sing.

Reciter 1:

May you have the gladness of Christmas
Which is hope;
The spirit of Christmas
Which is peace;
The heart of Christmas
Which is love.

Teacher:

Our teams are getting the first task. They will find names and descriptions of Christmas

things traditionally used in Great Britain. You can start doing your tasks. Good luck!

SCENE 3

Slide 3. Santa in the Sleigh

Santa Claus: (выходит на сцену из-за кулис)

Hey, my honey children! Here am I!

Host 2:

Oh! It’s so surprising! It’s really fantastic!

Host 1:

We are so pleased to see you Santa Claus. Frankly speaking, we couldn’t even dream about it.

Host 2:

How did you know about our party?

Santa Claus:

You see, I always know all about it. Wherever people say “Christmas”, there I am.

(Обращается к зрителям)

Well, well, well… I think it’s just the time to sing my favourite Christmas songs. Can you  sing “Jingle Bells”?

Host 1:

Yes, sure. Let me invite the performers to the stage.

(Исполнители песни поднимаются на сцену и готовятся к выступлению.)

Santa Claus:

OK, that is just what I wanted.

(Усаживается в зрительном зале.)

Host 2: (обращается к зрителям)

Dear audience and guests! If you know this song, you can thing it together with the performers.

Slide 4-9. Jingle Bells (чередование картинок и текста припева для зрителей)

Исполняется песня “Jingle Bells” под минусовку.

(Зрители подпевают.)

Santa Claus: (на последнем припеве дирижирует зрителями, прохаживаясь перед и между первыми рядами)

That’s great! Well done, my sweet kids!

(Возвращается на своё место.)

SCENE 4

Slide 10. Christmas decorations.

Teacher:

The teams are ready. It’s time to listen to them.

(Команды подходят, показывают картинки, называют их по-английски.)

Teacher: (учитель вручает по 2 снежинки каждой команде, если картинки подобраны правильно, названия и описания прочитаны без ошибок)

Thank you. Get your snowflakes. You can sit back.

(Участники команд возвращаются на свои места.)

And now, please get the next task. Reconstruct the text. You can start doing it.

(Помощники раздают командам приготовленные задания B. См. Приложение 1)

Host 1:

Host 2:

Let me invite to the stage the performers of the song that is beloved all over the world.

Slide 12. Santa Claus in the Sleigh

Santa Claus: (выходит на сцену)

What a song! I am pleased. Girls, thank you very much.

Host 2:

Excuse me, Santa. May I ask you a question?

Santa Claus:

Why not? What would you like to know?

Host 2:

You are always energetic and strong. How do you manage being so healthy?

Santa Claus:

It’s not a secret. First, I love people. Secondly, I hate sitting around and doing nothing. And then I am fond of doing exercise.

Host 1:

Doing exercise! It is so boring, isn’t it?

Santa Claus:

Can’t agree with you, my little curious girl. As you know, I travel a lot round the world, and when I was in Asia, I leant a very lovely complex of exercise. I am going to do it just now, and then you will tell me if it is boring or not.

Host 2:

Thank you, Santa Claus, for sharing with us your secrets of being healthy. That is   unforgettable.

(Возможен вариант, когда спортивный танец исполняется другим учеником/ученицей, или исполняется игровая песня, например “A Mulberry Bush”, вместе со зрителями)

Teacher:

What are the results of our teams? You are welcome.

(Команды подходят и читают тексты.)

Teacher: (учитель вручает по 2 снежинки каждой команде, если тексты восстановлены правильно и прочитаны без ошибок)

Thank you. Get your snowflakes. You can sit back.

(Участники команд возвращаются на свои места.)

And now, please get the new task. Reconstruct the rhyme. You can start doing it.

Host 1:

Let me introduce the performers of the song “Me and my Guitar”. Meet Maria. Ivan and Alexandra will help her with dancing.

Let’s listen to the answers of our teams. I see that they are ready.

(Команды подходят и читают восстановленные рифмовки.)

So, “Snowstorm” has … snowflakes and “Hoar-frost” – … snowflakes.

Host 2:

You will see the words of the song on the screen. Let’s sing it all together.
