- Образовательная: активизировать лексику по теме, повторить материал о системе школьного образования в Великобритании и России, познакомить с особенностями обучения в школах Британии.
- Развивающая: совершенствовать навыки и умения практического владения английским языком по данной теме по всем видам речевой деятельности: аудированию, говорению, чтению, письму; развивать умение сравнивать, делать выводы и отстаивать свою точку зрения.
- Воспитательная: воспитывать уважение к иноязычной культуре, повысить интерес к изучению иностранного языка, воспитывать чувство патриотизма.
Оборудование: магнитофон, интерактивная доска, компьютер, проектор, раздаточный материал, словари.

Вступление
Teacher:
Good morning, my dear boys and girls! I am very glad to see you at our lesson. Our
lesson is called “School is great!”
We’ll revise some facts about education, speak about school and its role in our life.
Today we’ll compare schools in Great Britain and Russia. There are two groups in our
lesson. The first group is from the UK. They’ll tell us about Woodland school. The
second group is from Russia. You will know some facts about school № 10.
Pupils:
1 group: Nice to meet you!
2 group: Pleased to meet you!
Teacher:
I wish you success. Be active and hard-working.
I want you to read the epigraph of our lesson. How do you understand these words? Do you
agree with them? What is education for you? What is school for you?

To work better let’s revise the words.
- Look at the blackboard, you see some words. Choose those ones that we can use to speak about education.
- Now I want you to do the next task. I’ll read to you the description of the word, try to guess what it is.

I have an interesting idea. Let’s make a small project which is called “The school of my dream”. I’ll give you the sheets of paper. I want you to think and to write what should be in the school of your dream.
