Цели урока:
Практические:
- развитие умения аудировать;
- активизация лексики по теме “Праздники”;
- развитие говорения (умения сообщать, объяснять, рассказывать);
- развитие навыков самостоятельной работы и работы в команде.
Образовательные:
- знакомство с некоторыми литературными произведениями известных британских поэтов.
Развивающие:
- развитие творческих способностей учащихся;
- развитие умения общаться, а также таких черт характера как трудолюбие, целеустремленность, активность.
Воспитательные:
- формирование у детей умения взаимодействовать друг с другом.
- создание условий для индивидуального развития каждого ребенка.
Подготовительный этап: для проведения праздника подбирается материал, соответствующий уровню обученности данного класса, разучиваются стихи, песни, инсценировки. Ученики готовят плакаты по тематике праздника для оформления кабинета.
Оснащение: для мероприятия потребуются записи песен и фоновой музыки, костюмы для участников инсценировок, реквизит, украшенная гирляндами елка, елочные украшения, подарки для учащихся.

Скетч “Праздничные пироги”
Anny: Now have a look. I”ve baked my tart.
Beth: Oh, how beautiful your cake is. I’m sure you will get a gold medal for it. And now, lool at my cake. Do you like it?
Anny: Not bad. If I were you, I’d put some more fruit. Have you got cream filling in your cake or did you put in jam?
Beth: No cream, just jam.
Anny: And I have cream filling.
Fred: Oh girls, help me! I’m lost!
Anny: What the matter?
Fred: My cake is not ready yet. And it’s time to go to the exameners and show it.
Anny: Why isn’t your cake ready?
Fred: I don’t have any cream or jam. I don’t know where to take them from.
Beth: I have some crem filling left over from my cake. I can give it to you, but I have rather little.
Anny: And I can give you some jam filling that I don’t need any more.
Fred: Oh thank you, girls. You are real friends.
Beth: Yes, we are your real friends. We must help each other.
Some minutes later.
Beth: Fred, what a big cake you’ve made. I think your cake will get the gold medal.
Fred: Yes, I think you are right. I’ve put everything into my cake: cream, jam, fruit, nuts, chocolate, sweets, lemons.
Дальше мы, как бы выходим на улицу и видим продавца воздушных шаров и детей, бегающих вокруг него. Происходит следующая сценка “Воздушные шары”.
Balloon man sings: I stand here every afternoon.
Waiting for children to buy a balloon.
Look at the colours bright and gay.
Just one penny is all you pay.
Come and buy, come and buy.
1 child:
I have a penny, mother said
So I think I’d like one that is red.
2 child:
I would like the one that is green
It is the prettiest that I’ve seen.
3 child:
Lucky am I, please give me two
One yellow and one blue.
A man:
Now with your balloons run and play
I’d like to see you happy and gay.
Father: Children, children, come home to tea!
1 child: That’s myfather ‘s calling me.
All children:
Balloon man, Balloon man, don’t go away
We’ll come to see you another day.

Why the snow is white?
Characters: the snow, the grass, the tulip, the rose, forget-me-nots, the violet, the carnation, the snowdrop, the author.
Количество цветов зависит от количества учащихся.
The Author:
The garden. There are a lot of flowers. They are very beautiful. In the middle of the flowerbed there is the Rose. To the left there are yellow tulips, pink carnations, blue forget-me-nots. To the right there are a lot of violets in the soft green grans. In the corner of the garden then is a small white flower.
Suddenly the Snow comes into the garden. It has no colour.
Snow:
For many years I have no colour but I want to have it. Oh, oh! How many flowers are here! They are very beautiful fnd they have colour. They are red, pink, white, blue, yellow! I'll come to them and ask them to give me their colour. Probably they'll present it to me.
Oh, soft green Grass, please, give me your colour.
Grass:
I... You... my colour? No! Go away!
Snow:
Dear Violet! The Grass didn't give me its colour. Can you give me your beautiful colour? Please, present it me!
Violet:
What? I must give you my brilliant colour? No! Go away!
Snow:
And you pink carnation, present me your colour!
Carnation:
Go away! I don't want to present you my colour!
Snow:
And you, dear Tulip! Will you give me your colour?
Tulip:
Oh, no! My colour is the colour of the sun! Nobody can I give my colour. Go away!
Snow:
Dear Forget-me-nots! Be so kind! Present me your colour!
Forget-Me-Nots:
Oh, no, no! I have the colour of the sky. I'll never give anybody my colour. Go away!
Snow:
You, dear beautiful Rose, the Queen of all Flowers! Be so kind, give me, please, your colour!
Rose:
I am the Queen of all flowers! And I must give you my colour? Ha, ha, ha! Never! Go away!
Грустный Снег уходит со сцены и замечает маленький белый цветок в углу.
Snow:
Dear little Flower! I am very unhappy. Nobody can present me its colour. How pity!
Little White Flower:
Please, dear Snow! Take my colour. I present it you! Be happy!
Snow:
Oh, thank you, thank you, little Flower! Now I have the colour, white colour! It's so nice! I am very happy! But what is your name?
Little White Flower:
I don't know. I have no name!
Snow:
Oh, I'll present you the name! Your name will be the Snowdrop. And you will be the first spring flower!
Snow Drop:
Thank you. I am very happyl
The Author:
Now the Snow is white. It is angry with all flowers. It likes only the Snowdrop. From that time the snowdrop is the first spring flower!

We have made a snowman
Big and round, big and round
We shall put a snowman on the ground, on the ground.
Snowman:
I'm a little snowman, look at me.
These are my buttons, 1 2 3.
These are my eyes and this is my nose.
I wear a hat and scarf. Brrr...it's cold.
A boy:
I wish I was a snowman
So tall and big and white
I’d never have to clean my teeth
Or go to bed at night.
But maybe Mr.Snowman
Is wishing he were me.
For I’ll be here
When winter comes
But where will the snowman be?

Kate: Hello,Nick!
Nick: Hello. What’s that? What are those boxes and parcels?
Kate: These all are presents! New Year presents for everyone!
Nick: Oh, that’s very good. What’s in that box?
Kate: Look! It’s a new hat. My new very beautiful, fashionable hat.
Nick: Well, dear andwhat is in that parcel?
Kate: It’s a scarf for my friend. It’s so warm and pretty.
Nick: Yes, I think it’s really very nice. And a present for your sister?
Kate: Here it is. A pretty doll for Helen and a small car for my brother Tom.
Nick: You’ve got so nice presents.
Kate: Nick, and this one for you – a new computer game.
Nick: Wow!
