Цель урока: формирование у учащихся коммуникативной иноязычной компетенции.
Задачи урока:
1. Повторить лексический и грамматический материал Unit 2.
2. Рассказать об английском языке в современном
мире.
3. Воспитывать интерес к изучению английского
языка.
Вид урока: повторение-обобщение
Оборудование урока: слайды с новыми словами, со списком стран, языков и национальностей и др.
Ход урока
1. Сообщение цели урока и введение учащихся в тему (слайд 1)
Teacher: Dear boys and girls! Nowadays a lot of people want to know foreign languages. Some of them have become global languages, i.e. languages of the planet. They help people all over the world to exchange information and to develop understanding. Some people say English is the global language.
Certain "international" professions, such as airline pilots and air-traffic controllers require a working knowledge of English. English is also the working language of computers. If you know English, you can now communicate with people from all over the world by computer. (Cлайд 2).
Look at the blackboard and read about the countries and governments where the English language is used as an official or second language. English is probably the most widespread language on earth. People all over the world speak English. They do not all use it as their first language. In some countries, such as, Nigeria and India, there are often many different languages and so these countries use English as an "official" or "second" language for government, business and education. 2. Речевая зарядка.
Teacher: Now look at the blackboard again, we can see different countries, tell me please what languages they speak, what people live there and what nationality are they. (Cлайд 4)
3. Представление разницы между Американским английским и Британским английским.
Teacher: But English is not the same everywhere. Some kinds of English have appeared. They are American English, Canadian English, Australian English etc. (Cлайд 5)
Teacher: If we want to know languages, we must know many words. Are you ready to repeat your vocabulary of the Unit 2? (Cлайды 6, 7)
4. Далее на уроке идет повторение лексического и грамматического материала раздела 2 (слайды 8-13). По каждому слайду выступает один ученик, сообщает о правиле, исключениях и т.д.
5. Подведение итогов. Домашнее задание: подготовиться к тесту по разделу 2.
