Цели: закрепление изученной лексики по теме, совершенствование навыков диалогической и монологической речи; развивать умение использовать нужную информацию в ответах на вопросы, учить логически продумывать и формулировать вопросы по теме задания; воспитывать вежливость в общении, уважение к мнению и успеху другого, взаимовыручку, выдержку, умение войти в роль, быть раскованным; воспитывать чувство гордости за успехи отечественных спортсменов.
Оснащение: мяч, медали из фольги разного цвета, стол с "микрофонами", таблички на партах ("BBC" и др.), аудиозапись мелодии - заставки трансляции игр.
1 этап. Приветствие и сообщение цели.
Teacher: Good morning! Today we'll speak about sport and Olympic Games, take part in "Sport stars' conference" and have some competitions. We must be very polite and very active.

Звучит аудиозапись мелодии-заставки Игр.
Teacher: What's this? Yes, this is the musical symbol of the Torino Olympic Games. And now just imagine that you are in Torino at the press=conference with the famous Russian sports stars: Ulia Chepalova, Alexander Ovechkin and Irina Slutskaya. All the others are correspondents of some popular TV companies and magazines: BBC, CNN, "Rossiya TV", "Pro Sport", "Just 17"," People" etc.
Get ready with your questions, please! Don't forget to say "Thank you".
Leader: Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to our conference! The sponsor of our conference is the famous Italian company Ferrero. So, welcome our stars!
Под аплодисменты входят "звёзды" спорта, занимают свои места за столом, уставленным "микрофонами", по очереди отвечают на различные вопросы, которые, в силу специфики своих агенств, могли бы задать "корреспонденты".

6 этап. Релаксация. Представители команд по очереди при помощи пантомимы изображают характерные действия спортсменов, команда противника угадывает вид спорта.
7 этап. Защита индивидуальных проектов (презентаций) учащихся на тему "My Favourite Sports Star".
8 этап. Подведение итогов:
