The English language’s week!

Ведущий: Здравствуйте уважаемые дети! Здравствуйте уважаемые гости! Мы очень рады приветствовать вас на нашем празднике, который посвящен открытию недели английского языка! Я надеюсь, что сегодня у всех очень хорошее настроение и мы хотели бы показать вам самые яркие моменты выступлений, которые приготовили учащиеся нашей школы.
Мы собираемся петь, танцевать, участвовать в викторинах, отгадывать кроссворды и, конечно же, играть и узнавать что-то новое о Великобритании и Северной Ирландии, о столицах, флагах, гербах, символах четырех государств Объединенного Королевства.
Приготовьте ваши ладоши для аплодисментов!  Итак, стартуем!

  1. Первые участники нашей программы очень любят петь, и они споют песню, которая называется «Привет! Привет!» (уч-ся 6 «А» класса); песню можно найти в учебнике: «Сambridge English for schools in Russia», авторы:Andrew Littlejohn and Diana Hicks (страница 100)

  2. Ученики 10 класса рассказывают анекдоты на английском языке, с кратким переводом.

  3. Вам понравилась песня «Привет! Привет!» не так ли? Тогда следующим пунктом нашего шоу веселая песня от учеников 6 «Б» под названием: «Привет друг! Как  поживаешь?» (Уч-ся поют, девочки танцуют под песню)

  4. И снова анекдот об очень смешном английском докторе! (10 класс)

  5. Пришло время подумать и вспомнить самые главные достопримечательности Лондона. Ученики 7 «Б» предлагают разгадать кроссворд. Конечно, за каждое правильно отгаданное слово, победитель получит, в виде приза, конфетку! (Все присутствующие в зале, включая гостей, преподавателей школы, отгадывают слова, связанные с достопримечательностями Лондона)

  6. Следующий пункт нашей программы представляют ученики 8 «А» класса. Давайте немножко подумаем и поиграем. У вас есть уникальная возможность попутешествовать по Великобритании и Северной Ирландии, по красивейшим и живописным местам. (4 ученика из класса  проводят викторину на англ.яз.)

  7. Ученица10-го класса рассказывает грустную поэму (размышление о жизни), автор W. Auden, «Похоронный блюз». Перевод стихотворения с английского на русский делала сама.

  8. «Добро пожаловать в Шотландию!» Учащиеся 9 «А» класса приглашает всех в райский уголок Объединенного Королевства, в Шотландию. Дорогие дети и гости, у вас есть уникальная возможность посмотреть на национальный костюм шотландцев, (один из учеников выходит в шотландском костюме), попробовать шотландскую выпечку, приготовленную девочками из этого класса, познакомиться с национальным инструментом (волынкой) и послушать настоящие шотландские мелодии. Также, учащиеся расскажут вам об истории настоящего государства, традициях, географическом положении  и климате.(подробный сценарий проекта – прилагается). В конце презентации – настоящий шотландский танец.

  9. В середине представления, я рассказываю анекдоты на русcком языке, но с английским юмором. Начало озвучено, дети, если знают этот анекдот, рассказывают его до конца сами.

  10. Наступило время для самого веселого конкурса. От двух команд приглашаются участники, которым предлагается произнести три раза подряд английские скороговорки. Кто быстрее  и правильнее (фонетически) произнесет, тот получает поощрительный приз.

  11. Финальным номером нашей программы хотелось бы представить песню группы Битлз: «Желтая подводная лодка». Ученики 10-го класса выходят с, нарисованной на ватмане, субмариной. У каждого ученика в руках по картонной рыбке на деревянной палке. Весь класс, под аккомпанемент гитары, исполняют эту песню. Все остальные участники фестиваля подпевают хором.

  12. В завершающей части мероприятия, всем участникам предлагается ознакомиться с интересными фактами об Уэльсе (каждый учитель, путем жеребьевки выбирал государство, о котором все подгруппы делали газеты, постеры). Было предложено поделиться своими впечатлениями о том, узнали ли дети что-то новое для себя и понравились ли им газеты и мероприятие в целом.

Главная цель достигнута: творческий характер заданий, предлагаемых в ходе различных игр, конкурсов и соревнований, способствовал лучшему запоминанию и усвоению различных грамматических явлений, расширению лексического запаса, расширению страноведческого кругозора. Формированию устойчивого интереса как к самому предмету, так и к культурным традициям, обычаям страны изучаемого языка!

– Good afternoon dear children! Good afternoon dear guests! We are very glad to see you here!
I hope that you have a good mood and we’d like to show  the main moments of our project. The brightest fragments of the English language week!
We are going to sing, to dance and to play of course! Will you prepare your hands for applauds!
So, let’s start!

  1. The first participants of our show like to sing very much. They sing the song “Hello!” (the pupils from 6 “A” Form sing the song in English), «Сambridge English for schools in Russia», Andrew Littlejohn and Diana Hicks (page #100);

  2. The pupil from 10th Form tells  the funny English anecdotes. You liked the song “Hello!”, didn’t you? That’s why the next song from 6”B” Form, which calls “Hello, friend! How are you?”, «Сambridge English for schools in Russia», Andrew Littlejohn and Diana Hicks (page #100);

  3.  Anecdote again. The pupil from 10th Form tells  the funny English anecdote.

  4. And finally it’s time to do an exercise for our brains. We’ll offer you to guess the crosswords about the UK and for each right answer you’ve got the opportunity to gain very tasty prize:   bon-bon or sweets!

  5. The next event will be introduced by the close company from Form 8 “A”.  Let’s think and play a little.  The several questions about the United  Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will carry all of you to the beautiful  and magnificent place. Are you ready?

  6. (Three representatives from the class navigate the quiz with all pupils in the hall)

  7. We’d like to tell you the great poem. It’s not so funny but very  lyric and vital. (The 10th Form student tells the poem written in the !9th century by…)

  8. The students of 9th Form welcome everybody to the paradise! Scotland and the most interesting facts about this country.  You’ve got the great opportunity to look at the Scottish man, listen to the Scottish melodies and taste beautiful Scottish biscuits. These pastries were cooked by our girls. We’ll dance like Scottish people.

  9. (The students from this class tell to everybody about the Scottish  traditions, history and interesting facts. The script of this event is attached)

  10. Tongue twisters! Who will say each twister three times very quickly,  get bon-bon!

  11. (The master of ceremony should pronounce the English twisters and invite five volunteers on the stage)

  12. And at last, the final point of our event! The singers form 10th Form will do a concerto. The song “Yellow submarine” is specially for you. (All students sing the song  in chorus and close the event!)

Anecdotes

The visit to the doctor!

A man goes to the doctor and tells him that he hasn’t been feeling well. The doctor examines him, leaves the room and comes back with three different bottles of pills.
The doctor says: “Take the green pill with a big glass of water when you get up. Take the blue pill with a big glass of water after lunch. Then just before going to bed, take the red pill with another big glass of water.”
Startled to be put on so much medicine the man stammers: “Jeez doc , exactly what’s my problem?” Doctor says: «You're not drinking enough water».

Pizza delivery!

After the college boy delivered the pizza to Amanpreet's trailer house, Amanpreet asked, "What is the usual tip?"
"Well," replied the youth, "This is my first trip here, but the other guys say if I get a quarter out of you, I'll be doing great."
"Is that so?" snorted Preet. "Well, just to show them how wrong they are, here's five dollars."
"Thanks," replied the youth, "I'll put this in my school fund."
"What are you studying?" asked Preet.
The lad smiled and replied, "Applied psychology."

Burnt ears!

A guy burned two ears... so they were asking him at the hospital how it happened.
He said, "I was ironing my clothing and the phone rang ... so instead of the phone I picked up the iron and burned my ear..."
" But how  did you burn the other ear?" the doctor asked.
" How do you think I called you people?"

Boys and girls come out to play, boys and girls come out to play,

Our traveling is over. It’s great when people have an opportunity to travel, expand their outlook and know each other better. And I hope you have enjoyed our trip a lot. I’m glad that you’ve learned a lot about Great Britain.
