Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку ко Дню святого Валентина

Цели:

  • Развивающая: продолжать знакомство с обычаями и традициями англоязычных стран, развивать навыки самостоятельного поиска и подбора информации;
  • Обучающая: совершенствовать навыки аудирования и говорения;
  • Воспитательная: расширять кругозор о стране изучаемого языка, воспитывать уважение к иноязычной культуре.

Участники: учащиеся 5-11 классов.

Оформление: приготовленные младшими школьниками валентинки, название праздника из разноцветных букв, цветы, шары, магнитофон, компьютер, мультимедийный проектор

Сценарий праздника.

Звучит лёгкая приятная музыка, гости рассаживаются в зале.

Презентация.

Ведущий 1. HERE it comes again : the day for exchanging love messages , chocolates , roses , and promises. (Слайд 1)

Ведущий 2. On February 14 millions of people will receive Valentine cards – paper or electronic, sentimental or comic , in verse or in prose .

Ведущий 1. But do you know the history of this holiday?

Ведущий 2. There is a beautiful legend behind St Valentine’s Day. Saint Valentine lived in Rome i8n the third century AD. At that time the Emperor of Rome was Claudius. He wasn’t very popular because he was trying to get more and more people for his army. The men trying to get more and the army and Claudius thought that it was because they didn’t want to leave their wives and children. “If they don’t get married, they’ll join the army,” he thought and passed a law which banned marriage.

Valentine was a Christian priest who didn’t like the new law. He secretly married people who were in love. One night the Emperor’s soldiers caught him and put him in prison. Valentine was going to die.

Many young people felt sorry for Valentine and visited him in prison. One of them was the daughter of a prison guard.. On the day o9f his execution Valentine wrote a note to her and signed it “Love from your Valentine”. This was on February 269 AD.

Since then 14 February has been the Day of Love, when people send love letters and presents to each other.

Ведущий 1. A card is obviously a must , whether you have a boyfriend or girlfriend, brother or sister or just want to convey a message to someone you secretly admire no matter how popular the electronic mail gets , handwritten letters always have a special appeal.

Ведущий 2. So compose (or copy) a love poem on a beautiful card and express your special thoughts .

Here are some examples:

Ведущий 1. Poems express your feelings in a very special and elegant way, and in a few words .

Ведущий 2. The only problem with sending a card to someone is the age-old dilemma of whether to sigh it or not .

Ведущий 1. But the element of mystery is precisely what makes Valentine’s Day so magical . There is nothing in the word so exciting as the idea of getting a love message and then trying to guess who it`s been sent by. What if someone you have a secret crush on might have a secret crush on you ? too?

Ведущий 2. So our advice is not to sign the card. But if you want the recipient to guess who the author is (deep down you probably do), just drop some clue or hint as to who the message is from.

Ведущий 1. Did you know? Your heart beats faster when you are in love . This is why the heart is considered to be the centre of our emotions and is always used to illustrate love. Being in love produces a special “ high” feeling.

Ведущий 2. Your blood pressure rises, bringing more blood to the surface of the skin. Your hear and skin improve in texture and your voice becomes deeper. Your immune system is also stronger, making you glow with health.

Ведущие задают вопрос в зал мужской половине аудитории: “Why do boys like girls?” (Слайд 4)

  1. They will always smell good even if it’s just shampoo.
  2. How cute they look when they sleep.
  3. How cute they are when they eat.
  4. The way they take hours to get dressed but in the end it all worthwhile.
  5. Because they are always warm even when it’s minus 30 degrees outside.
  6. The way they look good no matter what they wear.
  7. The way they fish for compliments even if you both know that you think she’s the most beautiful girl in the world .
  8. How cute they are when they argue.
  • The way they smile.
  • The way you fell when you see her name on the call display after you’ve just had a big fight.
  • The way they kiss you when you do something nice for them .
  • The way they kiss you when you say “ I love you”.
  • Actually …just the way they kiss you…
  • The way they fall into your arms when they cry.
  • The way they say “ I miss you”.
  • They way their tears make you want to change the world so that it doesn’t hurt her anymore…

  • The way they always let you win any game that you play together .
  • The way they look at you when you’re mad at them and all your anger melts away .
  • How they always know just what to say to make you blush .
  • The way they never admit that you’ve hurt them .
  • How they sometimes thinks think that they know just what to say to make you feel better , even if you think that it is the worst thing that they could say .
  • The way they always wear their favourite cologne ( which happens to be the one that you bought them for their birthday ).
  • The way that they try not to cry when they are afraid that they are losing you.

Ведущий 1. Today we have a guest from the 7TH form, he comes to tell us his story of love.

Ведущий 1. Read the questions, please and say “Yes” or “No”.

На экране даны вопросы, звучит лёгкая музыка, дети отвечают на вопросы.

Ведущий 2. How many times did you say “Yes”? Check your score:
