Цель урока: формирование речевой и коммуникативной компетенции учащихся, расширение кругозора по краеведению.
Задачи:
- Развивающая – развитие способности к сравнению и сопоставлению речевых единиц, к догадке, развитие коммуникабельности, умение осуществлять репродуктивные и продуктивные речевые действия;
- Воспитательная – воспитание любви к своему городу, воспитание чувства ответственности за совместную работу;
- Учебная – развитие речевых навыков, умения читать с целью извлечения конкретной информации;
- Сопутствующая задача – развитие умения воспринимать на слух с целью извлечения конкретной информации.
Оборудование: Компьютер, мультимедийный проектор (Презентация достопримечательностей Белгорода, приложение). Картинки с видами Лондона. Карточки с заданиями. Аудиозапись. Комплект бумажных кирпичиков разного цвета (золотого, серебряного, коричневого).

II. Введение учащихся в ситуацию урока, определение совместно с учащимися цели урока, и постановка задач.
T: I know that you like to travel very much. Imagine that you would go on exchange trip to London.

T: Imagine that one of you is a tourist – the other is a host.
