"Земля – наш общий дом", посвящен реализации принципов Хартии Земли на уроках английского языка

Цель:

• Введение и первичное закреплении новой лексики по теме “Земля – наш общий дом”. (Учащиеся изучают содержание и богатый словарный запас для повышения своих знаний.).
• Принцип Хартии Земли:
• “Поддерживать взаимопонимание, солидарность и сотрудничество между народами и государствами”.
• Развитие навыков чтения и устной речи.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент. Cсообщение цели урока

II. Введение и фонетическая отработка новой лексики по теме “Earth is our Home”

На доске написаны слова с транскрипцией:

Nouns:

Repeat the words after the teacher, please.

III. Активизация новой лексики по теме “Earth is our Home”

Give words of the same root in Russian. Compare the meanings. Is there any difference.
Humanity, nature, community, resource, bio-sphere, ecology, system, protection.
Some words can go together:
eg. community of life
Can you think of the words which go with the other words?

Учащиеся читают Преамбулу Хартии Земли, переводят. Отвечают на вопросы учителя:
Какие трудности возникают при переводе?
Есть ли такие слова/ выражения, которые существуют в одном языке, а в другом нет? Как вы думаете почему?

Humanity is part of a vast evolving universe. Earth, our home is alive with a unique community of life. The forces of nature make existence a demanding and uncertain adventure, but Earth has provided the conditions essential to life’s evolution.

The resilience of the community of life and the well-being of humanity depend on preserving a healthy bio-sphere with all its ecological systems, a rich variety of plants and animals, fertile soils, pure waters and clean air.

The global environment with its finite resources is a common concern of all peoples. The protection of Earth’s vitality, diversity and beauty is a sacred trust.

Find in the text the word which means:
