Цели урока:

Образовательные:

  • обобщить полученные знания по теме, выявить уровень знаний учащихся,
  • активизировать лексику по теме

Развивающие:

  • развитие творческих способностей учащихся,
  • развитие у учащихся познавательного интереса, применение учащимися полученных знаний в новой ситуации.
  • развивать навыки и умения логического построения монологической и диалогической речи по теме;
  • развивать навыки аудирования;

Воспитательная:

  • прививать знания, необходимые для реализации здорового образа жизни.

Тип урока: урок обобщения знаний

Оборудование урока:

  • Компьютер
  • Мультимедийный проектор
  • Экран
  • Карточки текстом и заданиями к нему, карточки с лексическими единицами для построения монологического высказывания, карточки со схемой диалогов, слайды для эмоционального воздействия на воображение учащихся.
  • классная доска,
  • диск с записью презентации урока (слайды по теме).

Ход урока

I. Оргмомент.

Teacher: Our aim of today’s lesson is to answer the question which is seen on the screen. Let’s read the phrase aloud and remember it up to the end of the lesson.

  What should we do to be fit?
II. Reading.

Teacher: We start with the reading. Pay attention to the words given in bold type. The words are unknown to you. Read them in chorus. (The pupils read the words with the teacher in chorus twice and then one by one).

Look at the picture and the title of the story. Tell me what the text is about. (The pupils give their ideas about the plot of the text. They can guess that the text is about the Doctor and the Patient)

Then they pass over to the reading of the text together with the teacher in chorus).

Please, look through the sentences given below the text and tick if they are true or false. It will be clear to me whether you understood the text or not.

Look through the text once more and answer my question what the main heroes of the story are. (The pupils have already guessed that they are the Doctor and the Patient)

Look at the screen and you’ll see that many centuries ago people went to the doctor or the doctors came to their patients in order to help them to recover.

III. Speaking.

Teacher: Take these cards and retell about the time you were ill. While the pupils are retelling about their illness others are aimed at listening and then say what advice was given to the pupil by the doctor.

IV. Speaking: dialogues.

Teacher: Sometimes the doctor doesn’t come to you and you are to go to the polyclinics. Do you remember what conversation takes place between the doctor and the patient? (The pupils act out the dialogues between the doctor and the patient)

V. Special exercises for pupils’ eyes.

Teacher: I’m not a doctor but I’ll give you advice how to save your eyes. Put your fingers on your eyes and press them gently. Then move your eyes up and down several times. Then turn your eyes around some circles. The exercises are over.

   
VI. Auding (Teacher’s Book, p. 84).

Teacher: Pay attention to doctor’s advice.

The first reading. The task: You will raise your hands if you think that the advice was good.

The second reading.

Would you raise your hands if you are sure that doctor’s advice was correct, helpful to the patient. (It really wasn’t)

   
VII. Writing.

After the slides be ready to write advice to the people what to do to be fit.

Pupils write their advice.

Распечатка слайдов, использованных на уроке.

20 slides show:

– professional sportsmen,

–healthy children going in for sport,

– healthy food,

– fat people and other aspects of healthy and unhealthy way of life.

VIII. Conclusion.

Teacher: What should we do to be fit? Who knows?

Then the pupils read the advice one by one trying not to repeat any of the already mentioned. They speak about healthy way of life, going in for sport, eating healthy food and so on.

   
IX. Teacher: your hometask will be to write 5-8 advice how to be fit to your parents and other relatives.
