Цель: Развитие коммуникативных навыков учащихся.

Задачи:

  1. Формировать лексические навыки чтения.
  2. Практиковать учащихся в монологической и диалогической речи.
  3. Развивать навыки аудирования.
  4. Повторить грамматический материал:
    • страдательный залог;
    • порядковые числительные.

Воспитательные задачи:

  1. Развитие речевой культуры учащихся и формирование готовности воспринимать культуру другого народа.
  2. Знакомство с историей, обычаями и традициями как своей страны, так и страны изучаемого языка.

Учебные пособия:

  1. Тематические картинки (слайды).
  2. Карточки с лексическим материалом.
  3. Плакат нерадивого ученика.
  4. Текст «День знаний».
  5. Конверт с письмом от родителей.

Ход урока 

I. Оргмомент

Hello, my friends! I’m glad to see you! How are you? At today’s lesson we’ll talk about holidays and customs in Great Britain, in the USA and in Russia. We shall know what traditions are there at our school.

II. Развитие навыков аудирования

(учащиеся слушают текст с кассеты к учебнику (кассета 2, сторона В).

Listen to the text! And say, what holiday is the text about?

(После прослушивания текста)

  1. What holiday is the text about? (The text is about Christmas )
  2. When is Christmas celebrated in Britain? (on the 25th of December).

And in Russia? (on the 7th of the 7th of January)

It is Knowledge Day. I think Knowledge Day is a happy day for all schoolchildren.

V. Развитие навыков чтения.

Now, read the text about Knowledge Day. (каждому учащемуся дается карточка с текстом) Children, will you look for the phrases in the text proving the role of knowledge in our life?

Читают про себя (2 минуты), затем вслух.

The Day of Knowledge
The first of September is a happy day for all children. It is a national holiday in our country. It is the Day of Knowledge. On that Day pupils and students start the new academic year. Knowledge is power. You get Knowledge at school and also from books, from magazines, from radio and TV programmes. Good Knowledge of school subjects will help you later to learn more difficult things.
Knowledge of history helps to understand the past, the present and the future of our country.
Knowledge of other languages is very useful. If you know the language of a foreign country, you can talk to its people and understand what they say. Knowledge of foreign languages also helps young people of different countries to develop friendship and understanding. The Day of Knowledge is celebrated by schoolchildren and their teachers. We need knowledge to be active, useful citizens of our country.

VI. Развитие навыков аудирования:

To get good knowledge you must do some certain traditional rules. Do you think they are necessary? Our headmistress Tatyana Ivanovna has received a strange letter with the photo from parents. (Учитель читает письмо. На доске большой плакат нерадивого ученика – приложение).

Dear Tatyana Ivanovna!

We are Kolya’s parents. Look at his photo. He is a nice boy. Don’t you like the way he looks? He is smart. We think he can wear what he wants. Clothes make people disciplined. Kolya is a real pupil. We don’t believe that he brings bubble gums to school and misses classes. He is a child. And if someone saw him smoking we think it was a joke.
With respect Kolya’s parents.
