Тип урока: обобщающий урок.

Цели урока:

  • формирование лексических навыков говорения, письма;
  • приобретение знаний о культуре страны изучаемого языка;
  • практическая цель: расширить знания школьников по теме «Рождество»;

Задачи:

  • Обучающие:
    • организовать повторение лексического и страноведческого материала по данной теме;
    • учить учащихся правильно строить предложения на английском языке;
    • познакомить учащихся с некоторыми традициями и обычаями празднования  Рождества в Великобритании;
    • способствовать формированию у учащихся навыков  социолингвистического и лингвострановедческой компетенции;

  • Развивающие:
    • развивать творческую фантазию, познавательный интерес, инициативу в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности;
    • развивать межпредметную связь с музыкой.
  • Воспитательные:
    • воспитывать у учащихся чувство прекрасного и уважение к культуре и традициям других народов;
    • воспитывать чувство взаимной ответственности, прививать навыки работы в коллективе.

ХОД УРОКА

I. Вводная часть

Приветствие – Good morning, dear children!

Оргмомент

T: Today we are going to have an unusual lesson. We will speak about Christmas – a wonderful holiday, loved by children and grown-ups for the presents, bright Christmas Tree, funny Santa Claus. We will speak about this holiday, write card and sing a song. I hope you will enjoy our lesson and be friendly to each other.

II. Основная часть.

1. Santa Claus

T: Yesterday, I received a postcard from Santa Claus. Let’s look and read it.
Ps: Read the postcard.
T: Do you know who Santa Claus is?
Ps: Santa Claus is…

You know already that Santa Claus comes into children’s homes on Christmas Eve. He has white  beard and white and red clothes. He is always merry. They say he comes from the North Pole. He brings presents for the children and put it under the Christmas Tree.

2. Christmas Tree

T: We know that Christmas can’t be without Christmas Tree.
A Christmas Tree is one of the main symbols of Christmas, children decorate the Christmas Tree with tinsels, toys, shining balls and other decorations. Let’s decorate our Christmas Tree.
Katya, how would you like to decorate our Christmas Tree?
Ps: I’d like to decorate my Christmas Tree by …
T: And I’d like to decorate my Christmas Tree by star.

3. Christmas Cards

T: So, we have decorated our Christmas Tree together. And what do you think about it?
Ps: It’s …
T: On Christmas people usually send Christmas Cards to each other. And do you know that in England almost every family receives more than 60 Christmas Cards.
To begin with, let’s remind what we can write on the cards. We have also made our own postcards and have written our best wishes on them. Petya, read it, please.

4. Stocking

T: On Christmas children write letters to Santa Claus and tell him what presents they would like to get.
In the evening of the 24th of December children hang their Christmas stocking on the bed or fireplace, put them under the Christmas Tree. Santa Claus puts presents into them.
I’m not Santa Claus, but I’ve made some presents for you. Choose any stocking  and find presents.
