Урок с использованием мультимедиа проектора (см. Приложение 1)

6 класс, базовый уровень, цикл 5 «Whatever the Weather», УМК Кузовлев В.П. и др.

Цель урока: создать условия для развития речевых навыков учащихся, навыков чтения с использованием лексических единиц по изучаемой теме.

Задачи урока:

  • организация тренировки используемой на уроке лексики;
  • развитие умений чтения текста;
  • побуждение учащихся к высказыванию по теме урока;
  • тренировка учащихся в употреблении в речи безличных предложений; сложноподчиненных предложений с придаточными условия; предложений с глаголами в Simple Present, Simple Future; предложений с оборотом to be going to.

1. Организационный момент. Приветствие. Тренинг.

Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls! I see that you are tired after Geography. Let us relax! Do as I do!

- “Wash” your hands!(5-6 seconds);

- Rub your hands!(5-6 seconds);

- Click your fingers!(about 10 seconds);

- Rub the ears!(10 seconds);

- Shake up the hands!

Учащиеся выполняют действия, способствующие их речемыслительной деятельности.

Teacher: I hope you are well and ready to work.

 

2. Целеполагание.

Teacher: I want us to read the poem.

Учащиеся читают стихотворение:
When the weather is wet,
We must not threat.
When the weather is cold,
We must not scold.
But be joyful together
Whatever the weather!

Teacher: There is a translation of the poem given by the students who finished our school 2 years ago:

На улице сыро - не стоит бояться;
На улице холод - не надо пугаться.
И пусть погода злится –
Мы будем веселиться!

What are we going to talk about at the lesson?

Учащиеся слушают перевод стихотворения и отвечают на вопрос.

Teacher: So, the title of the lesson is “Every Weather Has Its Charm” – “У природы нет плохой погоды”.

3. Речевая зарядка.

Teacher: Answer the questions:

  • What is the weather like today?
  • What does the thermometer say?

Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы, используя формы выражения личного мнения (I think/In my opinion/To my mind).

 

4. Организация тренировки используемой на уроке лексики:

а) словообразование (N+-Y=Adj.);

б) выполнение упражнения “Cross One Out”-“Найди лишнее слово”;

c) перевод предложений с английского языка на русский.

Teacher: Let’s review the vocabulary.

а) To answer the question “What’s the weather like in different seasons?” form adjectives from the given nouns.

Учащиеся образуют прилагательные от существительных добавлением суффикса –Y и составляют безличные предложения.

Model: rain – rainy.       It is rainy in autumn.

Cloud, frost, storm, fog, sun, wind.

б) Teacher: Put one extra word away and guess the season:

  • Rain, foggy, yellow leaves, snow, cloudy;
  • Warm, green leaves, May, New Year;
  • Snow, frosty, flowers, cold, hockey;
  • Sunny, July, snowman, hot, flowers.

с) Teacher: Translate the following sentences from English into Russian:

1. The weather is dreadful.

2. It is warm outside.

3. There are clouds today.

4. It pours every day.

5. It is only 5 degrees below zero.

6. I think spring will be cold.

7. There will be a storm tomorrow.

8. If there is frost schoolchildren will not go to school.

9. It is going to be sunny.

10. I am freezing.

5. Разминка.

Teacher: Stand up only when I’ll pronounce summer/winter/autumn/spring months.

 

6. Чтение тематических текстов.

Teacher: There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each of them lasts three months. Read short texts and guess what season described is. Start your answer with

I think it's… because…

1. This season comes in March and ends in May. Snow melts. It often rains in … , especially in April. People say," April showers bring May flowers." The weather is changeable. Usually it's cool. But sometimes it's  very cold. In April winds bring warm weather.

2. It's the hottest season of the year. Days are long, nights are short. Usually the sky is cloudless, the sun shines brightly. There are storms in June. The thermometer always shows the temperature above zero. The season brings fruits, vegetables and berries.

3. Then comes…. The weather is rainy and stormy. People must wear raincoats and umbrellas if they don't want to get wet. The leaves on the trees are yellow, brown and red.

4. When … comes, we spend a lot of time at home because it's snowy, frosty and windy outside. Rivers and lakes are frozen. In … the temperature is always below zero. Everything is white with snow. Children make snowmen and snowwomen, play snowballs, skate and ski.

Учащиеся читают тексты, догадываются, какое время года описано. Используются фразы выражения личного мнения.

7. Предъявление домашнего задания.

Teacher: There are a lot of proverbs and sayings about seasons, weather and nature. I’ve found some. Write them down in your copybooks (by variants). At home try to find Russian equivalents to these English proverbs and sayings:

  • Everything is good in its season.
  • It never rains but it pours.
  • April showers bring May flowers.
  • After rain comes fair weather.
  • Every cloud has a silver lining.
  • It is an ill wind that blows nobody good.
  • One cloud is enough to eclipse the sun.
  • One swallow does not make a spring.
  • A snowy year is a rich year.
  • Make hay while the sun shines.

8. Контроль домашнего задания.

Teacher: At our previous lesson we found in the Internet poems and pictures about seasons and weather. Let’s see what we’ve got.

Учащиеся демонстрируют свои проекты, читают стихи.

 

9. Подведение итогов урока. Выставление отметок.
