Цели урока:

  • Практическая: актуализация лексического материала.
  • Развивающая: развитие навыков аудирования и говорения.

Задачи:

  • повышение интереса к иностранному языку;
  • создание условий для развития интереса к данной теме;
  • понимание речи на слух при помощи видеоматериалов;
  • развитие языковых навыков;
  • закрепление речевых оборотов и фраз по теме: «British Festivals».

Метод обучения: развивающий.

Оборудование: плакаты с изображением различных праздников, выполненные учениками; видеокурс «Window on Britain»; раздаточный материал (для каждого ученика); презентация.

Ход урока 

I. Оргмомент

Good morning, boys and girls! I’m nice to see you again. Today we’ll have an unusual lesson! We have some guests and we are glad to see them. Let’s start our lesson.

II. Речевая зарядка

Teacher: How are you today? (What’s up?)

Pupil: I’m fine. Thanks. And you?

T.: I’m OK. What day is it today?

P.:It’s the 2-nd of October.

T.: What day of the week is it today?

P.: It’s Friday.

T.: What’s the weather like today?

P.:The weather is cool. It’s slippery.

T.: What season is it now? Is it winter?

P.:No. It’s autumn. I like it.

T.: You’re right. Thanks a lot. Sit down, please. Today we’ll have a talk about «British Festivals». It is a final lesson. I want you to be attentive and active.

III. Проведение видеоурока

Let’s watch the film about «British Festivals» and do some tasks to the film.

Учащиеся смотрят фильм дважды. Затем, перед выполнением заданий, учитель задает несколько вопросов к фильму. (Презентация)

What is this film about? Let’s guess.

– Is it interesting?

– What British Festivals do you know?

– And what holidays do people celebrate in Russia?

– Which British holiday do you like the best? Why?

Exercise 1. Match the words to their definitions.

  1. People celebrate St Valentine’s Day in spring.
  2. St Valentine is a public holiday.
  3. This holiday is celebrated only by children.
  4. St Valentine is the patron saint of lovers.
  5. When you write a valentine, you always sign it.
  6. Traditional valentines are in verse and sentimental in nature.
  7. Valentines are very expensive and only rich people can buy them.
