Цели урока:
- Подвести итоги изученного материала об американских писателях.
- Проверить и закрепить навыки владения лексикой в пределах темы « Американские писатели».
- Научить ребят правильно формулировать свои мысли и чётко высказываться по данной теме.
- Научить ребят слажено работать в группах ,чувствовать ответственность друг за друга в процессе работы, а также привить навыки культуры общения.
Ход урока
I. Объявление темы, целей и плана урока. Слайд 1, 2.
Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls! Today we are going to have a very interesting lesson. We are going to have a talk about America writers. The aims of the lesson are:
- To find out the answer for the question “Why poets and writers can be named mirrors of the country and the time they live?”
- To tell about American writers and their roles in American history and life.

III. Основная часть урока.
1. Teacher: And now , boys and girls, let us discuss the statement “ Poets and writers can be named mirrors of the country and the time they live”.
(Учащиеся высказываются по очереди по данной проблеме.)
Высказывания учащихся типа
a) Poets and writers tell us about the time they live in their books
b) They reflect the events of that time and form our attitude to that events
2. Учащимся предлагается составить коллаж по проблеме « Американские писатели - это…»
3. Учащиеся высказываются по пунктам коллажа, обосновывая свои высказывания. Например:
a) American writers wrote interesting books in where we can read about the time they lived
b) American writers were very useful for the society they lived, because they formed the society s opinion. и т.д.
IV. Работа в командах.
1. Ознакомление с американскими писателями (сообщения по теме, подготовленные заранее).
Jack London
(1876-1916)
Jack London was born in 1876 in San Francisco, California. His family was very poor, so Jack had to leave school to такв топву. In 1897, he went to Alaska to find gold. Instead, he found ideas for his stories there.
He is best known for his book, The Call of the Wild, the story of the adventures of a dog in the frozen north. His wrrtings were very popular and he became rich and famous before the age of 30.
Mark Twain
(1835-1910)
His real name was Samuel Langhorn Clemens, but he is better known by his professional name, Mark Twain. Mark Twain was born in Missouri in 1835. He never finished elementary school. He got his education mainly from his observations of people and events on the western bank of the Mississippi River. In 1871, he married and moved to Hartford, Connecticut, where he wrote his two masterpieces, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Because of his sense of humor and wit and the style with which he wrote about frontier life of the common people in the American West, many people feel that Twain's books marked the beginning of modern American literature.
Ernest Hemingway
(1899-1961)
Ernest Hemingway was born in Oak Park, Illinois, in 1899. He was one of Hollywood's favorite authors. His books, The Old Man and the Sea, The Sun Also Rises, and A Farewell to Arms were made into films. He won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954. As a hunter, fisherman, boxer, soldier, war correspondent, and author, Hemingway led a life of action.
Hemingway wrote six novels and more than 50 short stories. His early short fiction was greatly influenced by his outdoor life in the American mid.

ТЕКСТ ДЛЯ АУДИРОВАНИЯ
Mark Twain , a famous American writer, was a very interesting person. He had many hobbies and one of his hobbies was to find out about the person , looking at his or her handwriting.
He was very proud of his hobby, because it gave him an opportunity to meet different people and to find out more information about them.
One day an old lady, one of his friends, decided to play a joke on mark Twain. He came and said: “Mr. Twain, here’s the copy- book of a boy. Could you tell me something of his character, please?”
“Oh, yes, of course, madam” - answered Mark Twain. He looked through the copy-book and said: “Oh, what can I say… The boy is very sly, selfish and a liar. I can add that he is a lazy fellow.”
The old lady began to laugh . “What is wrong?” - asked M. Twain.
“On, my dear , it was your own copy-book when you were a boy” – answered the old lady.
Задания:
- Разыграть диалог между М. Твеном и его знакомой.
- Пересказать рассказ от лица Твена (его знакомой).
VI. Исполнение песни “Strangers in the night” (F. Sinatra)
Teacher: All of writers are romantics and almost all of them can sing and play any instruments. And that is why I suggest you to sing a song “Strangers in the night”.
VII. Выполнение упражнений с помощью компьютера: (Приложение 1)
(Приложение 1 является готовой формой документа для работы. Его просто необходимо копировать в компьютер. Работать желательно в группах по 2-3 человека на скорость.)
а) Деление текста на слова.
б) Выполнение теста из того же документа.

План перевод стихотворной формы.
1. Дословный перевод.
I know, Adigeya is so small
On a color map among the Caucasus
Here it’s all under the tip of pointer
This land was all the world for me.
2. Располагаем слова первой строчки так, чтобы они подходили под размер исходника (используем допустимые приёмы перевода, сохраняя при этом смысл и содержание).
My ancient Adig land is so small.
3. Подбираем опорную сточку четверостишья.
This land was all the word for me.
4. Применяем приёмы перевода для соблюдения размера стиха (добавление).
But this small land was all the world for me.
5. Подбираем рифму к последнему слову опорной строчки в параллельной ей (2).
Among the Caucasus, you see?
6. При переводе 2 строчки используем добавления и перестановки.
It can be covered with a tip of pointer.
(Вместо слова pointer можно использовать слово finger.)
