Teacher: Hello, everybody! Welcome to our Balloon party! We are glad to see you. I hope you are fine. Do you like to play games? Today you have chance to take part in our game. There are two teams. We have three members of jury in our party today.
I invite two teams:
- Team 1. Form 6 A. The captain of the first team is…
- Team 2. Form 6 B. The captain of the second team is…
- The greeting.
Let’s begin our first competition. Now the participants will introduce themselves. Каждый член команды представляет себя на английском языке.
- The game “Everything under the Sun”.
Задания расположены на колесе фортуны. Члены команд по очереди крутят колесо и выполняют задания.
- Say or sing A – Z or count 1 – 10.
- Name 7 colours.
- Count 10 – 20.
- Name 5 sorts of fruit or 5 vegetables.
- Name 5 objects in your bag.
- Name 5 things in your classroom or 5 school subjects.
- Name the days of the week.
- Name the months of the year.
- Name 4 countries of the United Kingdom.
- Name 5 hobbies or 5 sports.
- Name 5 professions.
- Name 5 things you put on the table for breakfast.
- Name 5 things that boys wear or 5 things that girls wear.
- Name 3 things you can do.
- Name 3 things you must do to be economical.
- Now we’ll pass to the second competition. "Me and my world."
Это соревнование – спортивная эстафета. Учащиеся выстраиваются в ряд друг за другом. В конце зала находятся надутые шары, в которых спрятаны задания. Члены команд бегут, приносят шары. Затем команды хлопают их и выполняют задание.

- The third competition is ‘Role play”. Участники команд разыгрывают следующие ситуации:
- Ask if the seat is free.
- Ask if you can look at a magazine.
- Introduce yourself: give your name, where you are from and what you do.
- Ask the other person: name/ surname, where he or she is from, what he or she does and his or her hobbies.
- Ask him or her how many people there are in his or her family, if he or she has any brothers or sisters, what their names are and what they do.
- Ask him or her if he or she has any pets.
- Ask if this is his or her first visit to Scotland and how long he or she will stay there. Ask if he or she has been to other countries and how he or she liked them.
- Ask him or her about what he or she is reading at the moment and what he or she usually likes to read.
- The next competition is ‘Team spelling’.
Place a complete set of alphabet cards near each team. The teacher pronounces a short word, and the players in each team hurry to the cards, select the proper cards, then go to the front of the room and arrange themselves in the proper order. The team finishing the word first scores a point.
- The fifth competition is ‘Bull’s- eye spelling.
Draw the letters of the alphabet on the board and put a large circle around each letter. Ask teams form lines at the back of the room. The teacher gives the first team a word to spell. The first student steps up designated to a line and throws the ball at the first letter in the word. Each player gets one throw per turn. The object is for the team to hit the correct letters. The second team is given a word with the same number of letters, and the process is repeated.
- The sixth competition is ‘Word search’.
Draw 2X3 grids on the floor. Place a different letter in each square of the grid (include two vowels). The object is to have each student hop on one leg in the grid in an attempt to spell as many words as possible.
The results of the competition is …. Thus we have finished with the score…in favor of team ….But you did your best to win. Congratulations to everybody.
Now we shall play some games.
- “Pin the Tail on the Donkey”. The rules of the game are
- You have a scarf over your eyes.
- Pin the tail on the donkey.
- The person who puts the tail nearest to the right place is the winner.
- “Pass the Parcel.” The rules of this game are
- You stand on a circle.
- Pass the parcel to the person next to you.
- When music stops you take off the piece of paper.
- The person who takes the last piece of paper off wins the prize.
- “Fortune – tree.”
You wrote fortunes on pieces of paper and put them on the tree. Now everybody come to the tree, take a fortune and read.
Затем учащиеся читают стихи, поют песни на английском языке, изучившие в 5–6-х классах. После этого проводим чаепитие и танцуем.
