Итоговый урок в 5-м классе по учебнику В.П. Кузовлева "Travelling Across Great Britain in a Time Car"

Цели урока:

  • Социокультурный аспект - знакомство с рекламными проспектами, с некоторыми достопримечательностями Соединённого Королевства.
  • Развивающий аспект - развитие способности к догадке, к сравнению, развитие наблюдательности, воображения, логического мышления.
  • Воспитательный аспект - воспитание интереса к культуре и истории страны изучаемого языка.
  • Учебный аспект - совершенствование грамматических навыков, контроль основных навыков и умений, над которыми велась работа в течение года.

Оснащение урока: карта Соединённого Королевства Великобритании и Северной Ирландии, портрет Уильяма Шекспира, грамматические таблицы, карточки с заданиями, карточки со скороговорками, рисунки.

Ход урока

1. Hello everybody! I`m very glad to see you here because we are going to have an unusual lesson.

Today we are travelling across Great Britain and its history. Here is Time Car. It will help us.

Isn`t it beautiful! ? - Yes! Very! Are you ready to travel? Our car will work when you tell it your stories. Introduce yourselves. (Дети рассказывают о себе).

2. - Teacher: Well done! Now get in and let`s go. Here we are! Look, somebody is meeting us! Oh, who is it?

- Children: Nessie!

Teacher: Where are we?

- Children: We are in Scotland.

- Teacher: What do you know about Scotland?

- Children: (дети вспоминают как можно больше ЛЕ, характеризующих Шотландию, например: amazing land, beautiful nature, romantic valleys, daffodils, bagpipes and so on).

- Teacher: What is the capital of Scotland?

- Children: Edinburgh.

- That`s right!

3. To go on recite some tongue - twisters:

The two-twenty-two train tore through the tunnel.

Each Easter Eddie eats eighty Easter eggs.

The king would sing, about a ring that would go ding.

Six silver swans swam silently seaward.

King Kong kissed Queen Kate.

We surely shall see the sun shine soon.

- Teacher: Very nice! Time car is on work, let`s go on.

Teacher: Look at the portrait! Who is this?

- Where are we?

- What is it like?

- What is its capital?

- What plant is its symbol?

Children: - Shakespeare!

- In England.

- Beautiful, fine, ancient.

- London.

- A red rose.

Fine!

5. - Teacher: Now look here. What a beautiful ancient castle we see! What can it be?

- ChIldren: It`s Wales!

- Teacher: What are the symbols of Wales?

- Children: A daffodil and a dragon.

- Teacher: And the Dragon has some tasks for you. ( Учащимся предлагаются карточки с заданиями на использование оборота there is/ there are из учебно - методического комплекта Е.А.Барашковой "Грамматика английского языка игры на уроке. К учебнику В.П.Кузовлева и др. "English - 5".

6. Good work! While out car is travelling, let`s sing a song! " We can do anything".

7. Excellent! And here is the next task. Look through the window of our Time Car and describe

the view using prepositional phrases. (Учащиеся описывают тематическую картинку "Город", используя предложные фразы).

8. - Teacher: Now look, our Car is crossing the sea. What country will we visit?

- Children: Northern Ireland.

- Teacher: Speaking about future what tense do we use?

- Children: Future Simple

- Teacher: What words help us to see the future? -

Children:

tomorrow
next week
in two days
soon

Make questions:

  1. They will eat fish and chips on Friday.
  2. The girls will go to the river to swim.
  3. It will be fine weather tomorrow.

Now say that these things will not happen.

9. Just for fun let`s recite poems. (Пятиклассники рассказывают стихи, которые учили в течение года).

- Oh, my dear master,
I`m well, thank you!

Molly, my sister and I fell out,
And what do you think it was about?
She loves coffee, and I love tea,
And that was the reason we couldn`t agree.

10. - Teacher: Now we are to return to our place and this is our last task. What tense will we use to describe our trip?

- Children: Past Simple.

- Teacher: What words help us see the past?

- Children:

- Teacher: Finish the table:

Now Yesterday
1. We are in England. 1.
2. 2. My friend wrote nice poems.
3. There are a lot of people in the park. 3.
  4. We didn`t finish our homework.

(Каждый ученик получает отпечатанный экземпляр таблицы. Учитель проверяет и анализирует их на следующем уроке ).

11. Did you enjoy our journey? Say how you liked it.

- Great! Terrific! Fantastic! Nice!
Good work! Very good! We did it!

12. Nice job1 I liked it too. (Учитель подводит итоги, объявляет оценки).
