Цели:
1. Познавательный аспект - знакомство со спецификой поездки в Англию: выбор транспортного средства, цены на билеты, сколько времени займёт добраться до Англии на автобусе, на поезде, на самолёте.
2. Развивающий аспект - развитие внимания, анализа и обобщения, восприятие речи на слух и применение полученных знаний в ситуациях общения.
3. Учебный аспект: - Ознакомление и дальнейшее употребление в речи лексических единиц по теме «Подготовка к поездке в Англию» в рамках ситуации «Выбор транспортного средства». Употребление структуры How long …it take you… в Present Simple, Past Simple, Future Simple. Развитие навыков чтения с извлечением детальной информации, умение работать в паре и в группах. Развитие навыков аудирования с извлечением детальной информации. Развитие навыков перевода.
Речевой материал:
1) активный: it takes, fast, single ticket, return ticket, a ferry;
2)пассивный: Eurolines, British Airlines;
Грамматика: структура It takes../ It took…/ It will take…somebody to do something. Степени сравнения прилагательных.
Оборудование: карточки с заданиями по аудированию, карточки с заданием по чтению, полоски из бумаги с предложениями для перевода, фигурки из цветной бумаги.
Техническое оснащение: компьютер, проектор, экран для показа презентации (файл презентации можно получить по запросу у автора статьи), магнитофон с кассетами к учебнику К.И. Кауфман, М.Ю. Кауфман «Счастливый английский.ру» для 7-го классса.
Ход урока
1. Приветственное слово учителя
T: Good morning, children. Sit down, please. Today we are going to have an unusual lesson. The theme of our lesson is “How to plan a trip to England?”
2. Введение структуры “How long will it take you to get to…”
T: By the way, it takes me 10 minutes to get to school usually, but yesterday, it took me 7 minutes to get to school, because I was in a hurry. What about you? How long does it take you to get to school?
Before you answer, let’s pronounce these words (Ps произносят слова и читают транскрипцию с доски).

T: Ok, and now, open your books at page 96. Let’s do exercise 1.
The task is to read the dialogue.

Т: You are to make up short dialogues in pairs, using exercise1 and 2 at page96, a the words and the questions from the blackboard.
Ps читают столбики, затем, опираясь на упр.1 и 2 стр.96 и на вопросы на доске составляют короткие диалоги следующего образца.
P1: How long does it take you to wash up?
P2: It takes me half an hour to wash up. Etc.
4. Использование компьютерных технологий при введении и активизации в речи новых лексических единиц.
T: You know, that our heroes Misha and Robin are going to have a trip to England. Last lesson you have already known what necessary for their trip is. So, what?
P1: A visa.
P2: A passport.
P3: Money.
T: Money for what? For the tickets. But they don’t know what means of communication to choose and what the prices for the tickets will be. Let’s find out.
Exercise 3 p. 96 Read the words after the speaker. Учитель включает магнитофон с записью, и дети читают за диктором в паузах, затем читают по одному.
T: And now, look at the screen and find out. Идёт показ презентации “How to get to England from Russia?”
T: (вовремяпоказа) If you are going to get to England from Russia the cheapest way is by bus. Eurolines go all over Europe. But don’t forget that England is on island! So, in France the bus goes on a ferry to cross the British Channel. A single ticket is £52 (up to 12), and £148 (older). If you are going to travel by train, it is more expensive than by bus. But it will take you a long time to get to England. So, the fastest way to get to England is by plane. It is the most expensive way. A return ticket is £350.What means of communication will you choose?

5. Развитие навыков чтения с извлечением детальной информации
T: So, now you know what the fastest and the cheapest ways to get to England and you know the prices for the tickets. Well, Misha and Robin are going to buy tickets to England. Listen and read.
Exercise 4 p.97 Учащиеся прослушивают диалог, затем читают в режиме: P1, P2, P3…etc.
T: Well, now, close your books. Here are the cards with a task for you to do. The task is to fill in the gaps, using these words and find out:
- the name of a bus company;
- the name of an airline;
- the word for a very big boat which can carry;
- the price for a bus ticket;
- the price for a plane ticket.
T: It will take you 5-7 minutes to do this task.

6. Употребление структуры “How long …it take…”. Развитие навыков перевода
T: Children, choose the card, read the sentence and give the meaning of it.
На полосках бумаги написаны предложения (ex.2 p. 49 Workbook1):
1) It takes her fifteen minutes to wash up.
2) It’ll take you two hours to get to Moscow.
3) It took him a month to find the book.
4) It takes half an hour to cook dinner on the campfire.
5) Does it take him long to get to his office?
6) Will it take them long to organize a sleepover?
7) Did it take Robin long to get back home?
Учитель веером держит полоски, подходит к учащимся, они вытягивают полоску, читают предложение и вслух переводят.

7. Развитие навыков аудирования с извлечением специфической информации
T: And now, listening again. Misha is phoning the bus company and the airline.
Here are the other cards for you. These cards for the 1-st variant, you are to listen to the 1st dialogue, and these cards are for the 2-nd variant and you are to listen to the 2-nd dialogue. Then fill in the gaps.

Учащиеся прослушивают упражнения 10, 11 и 12 стр.98 учебника и заполняют пропуски на карточках.
T: OK, and now, change the cards. Listen to another dialogue and check.
Учащиеся обмениваются карточками и теперь слушают другой диалог, тем самым проверяя правильность заполнения карточки партнёра по парте. В результате учащиеся прослушивают 2 диалога. Учитель собирает карточки с выполненным заданием для проверки.
8. Активизация в речи раннее изученной информации. Работа в группах
T: Good for you, children. Will you work in groups? So, well, take the coloured sheets of paper (yellow, green, blue, red).
T: Reds! Sit together!
Blues! Sit together!
Greens! Sit together!
Таким образом, cформировались группы по цветовому признаку. Каждой группе даётся лист размером А3 и задание: Answerthequestions (exercise 8 p. 98).
Учащиеся в группе, используя предыдущие упражнения, отвечают на вопросы и записывают ответы на листах.
T: Now, let’s check.Учитель задаёт вопрос, учащиеся из разных групп проговаривают ответ на него, читая с листа.
