Nowadays the life of young people in the world is mostly influenced by popular culture. Is that true? P1-Yes, that’s true. Some young people are sports and music fans.
P6- Many young people are interested in getting knowledge, they are fond of reading books, listening to classical music.
P7 - A lot of young people are engaged in HI-Tech through the Internet.
T - That’s right.
The youth follows` certain stereotypes, that are imposed on them through TV programmеs, movies, music. In their life style they imitate the images of their idols, and as a result join different subcultures or groupings.

-What are the main problems of the Youth ?
P1. One of them is a generation gap.
T. What is a generation gap?
P1.It is when the young and the adults do not understand each other. The adults always teach the young how to live.
T. Let’s listen to Sveta, please
Sveta: I have a terrible problem. I’ve got a lot of spots on my face. My mum doesn’t understand the problem .She says it is normal. But I don’t want to go out because everyone laughs at me. What can I do?
T: You see mum doesn’t understand her daughter’s problem, she doesn’t consider it serious. What is another problem of the Youth.
Ann: Another problem is the relationship with their friends. My boyfriend and I never go our own. He always brings his best friend with him when we have a date. He says that he feels guilty if he doesn’t invite his friend .But what about me?
T. Is the problem of love important for the young?
Roma: Yes, of course.
My girlfriend and I love each other very much, but her mother doesn’t like me at all. A week ago I took her home after midnight. There was a big argument and I’m not allowed to go to her house any more. We have to meet in secret.
Teacher: It goes without saying that young people have a lot of other problems, they are concerned with education, money, hobby, employment, spending free time, communication and accommodation .But let us hope that young people are sure to solve all problems in a proper way.
