- познавательный аспект-увеличение объема знаний об особенностях различных субкультур, знакомство с их атрибутикой;
- развивающий аспект- развитие творческих способностей учащихся, способности к сравнению и сопоставлению полученных знаний, способности логически излагать;
- воспитательный аспект- осознание, что отрицательного и что положительного в различных субкультурах, развитие кругозора по теме.
- учебный аспект- развитие речевых умений.
Задачи урока:
- совершенствование речевых умений по теме;
- совершенствование умений аудировать с целью извлечения необходимой информации;
- обобщение и систематизация полученных знаний.
Тип урока: подготовка к защите проектов.
Оборудование урока:
- стенд: “ Different Subcultures”;
- мультимедийный ролик;
- индивидуальные карточки;
- кассета;
- диск с мелодиями различных субкультур.
“Why do teens choose a subculture?”
I. Организационный момент.
Т.: Good morning, children! I am glad to see you!
The topic of our lesson is “Why do teens choose a subculture? ”
Today we shall remember the words and phrases about different subcultures. We shall try to identify attribute characteristics with particular subcultures. Also we’ll pay our attention to grammar and than make mini-projects about these subcultures. I hope it will be interesting for you. To write your future projects well, we’ll have lesson today. Let’s see how many words you know and how many you can use them in your topics.
II. Речевая зарядка. ( на экране)
So, the first task is to give the translation of the following words:
- Identity
- Subculture
- Aggressive
- Option
- Violent
- To rebel
- To try out
- To conform to
- To reject
- Liberal warehouse
- Improvisation
The second task is to translate the following stable phrases from Russian into English:
- Выразить себя
- Обратить внимание
- Выразить свою принадлежность к определенной субкультуре

- Отвергнуть все
- Выразить протест против родителей
- Показать, что ори против общества
- Иметь собственные ценности и веру
- Изменить мир к лучшему
- Поддерживать чей то образ жизни и отношения
III. Подстановочное упражнение по отработке лексики.
T.: Replace the personal pronouns with the appropriate subcultural trends. (на доске)
- He wears leather jacket and a cowboy hat.(Rocker)
- They are good at computers.(Hackers)
- They like to talk about vampires and about the end of the world.(Goths)
- He refuses to accept everything.(Punk)
- They cut their hair shorter than others do.
IV. Тренировочное упражнение по грамматике.
T.: Now, let’s speak about subcultures using grammar. Use where necessary “like” or “as”.
But, firstly let’s remember the grammar material, when we use “like” and when we use “as”. What does it depend on?
P.1: We use “like” as a preposition only before a noun or a pronoun in the meaning of “такой же”.
P.2: We use “as” as a conjunction before subordinate clause of the sentence it means, that we could pay attention to the present of the verb.
- He is going to be businessman…his uncle.(like)
- Teens in Russia like rock and techno… young people in many countries do.(as)
- She looks… her mother.(like)
- Russian skinheads… skinheads in Britain are very aggressive.(like)
- Punks in Russia have their favourite bands… punks in other countries do.(as)
V. Аудирование с элементами говорения.
T.: Now, look at the screen. You’ll see short films about different kinds of subcultures. Try to guess the subculture and say some words about it. Ex. 2 on page 70-71 helps you to do it. (видеoролик)
- Who wants to be the first?
- Who can guess?
- What is the film about?
- Who wants to continues?
T.: So, it is very interesting information for us. In this case people say: “So many men, so many minds!” Can you translate this proverb?
VI. Работа с опорной таблицей.
Pay attention to the attribute characteristics of different subcultures. You may use them in your mini-projects.

Friends, that the things we do, the clothing we wear, the foods we eat, the traditions we observe, as well as memories, hobbies, and your subcultures- make us who we are: unique and special people. But I want to say only one, I consider that the conclusion of our lesson should be the next “Handsome is as handsome does!”-“ Красив тот, кто красиво поступает!”
