I. Организационный момент

(Учитель – Класс).

1. Приветствие учащихся и гостей. Введение в атмосферу урока. Ученики отвечают на вопросы учителя, учитель зачитывает сообщение от Деда Мороза ученикам.
   “Hello, my dear friends. I’ll be glad to see you soon. I’ve got a surprise for you. You will get it if you work hard today”. Учитель сообщает тему урока : So the topic of our lesson is Christmas Holiday.
2. Активизация лексики по теме. Учащиеся повторяют хором слова за учителем. Ученики сопоставляют слова с картинками на доске и дают определения слов.

Проверка задания на доске

3. Тренировка лексики. Выполнение задания индивидуально. На доске появляется предложение, учащиеся должны выбрать верный вариант из четырех предложенных. ( Ученик 1, Ученик 2….)

You know that in December all Christian world celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ, so that’s why we call this holiday Christmas. It is the religious holiday. A litter later we’ll talk about customs and traditions of Christmas and New Year, but at first let’s try to understand the origin of the holiday, when and where it was born. You know this holiday appeared many years ago.

4. Учитель задает ученикам вопросы о происхождении Рождества и о самых значимых именах.

a) Can you tell me who was Jesus’ mother? (Mary.)

b) Who was his father? (Joseph.)

c) What city was he born in? (Bethlehem.)

d) Where was he born? (In the stable.)

I’m very pleased that you remember these names. But I have got one more question. People in England celebrate Christmas on 25^th of December. And when do people celebrate Christmas in our country? Every country has its own customs and traditions of celebrating Christmas. Some lessons ago I asked you to find some information about other ways of celebrating Christmas in different countries.

5. Расширение знаний страноведения. (Ученик – Класс). Проверка домашнего задания. Учащиеся рассказывают кратко о традициях празднования Рождества и Нового года в разных странах.

Учитель задает последний вопрос: Whom do children wait for Christmas Eve? (Santa Claus.)

But of course Englishmen also celebrate New Year. And now we are going to listen to the text New Year in England.

6. Работа с текстом (аудирование). Учащиеся слушают аудиотекст и заполняют пропуски в предложениях. Раздаточный материал( учащиеся получают тексты с пропущенными словами). Текст “Christmas traditions in England”. Проверка выполненного задания. (Ученик – Учитель.)
7. Задание на закрепление навыков работы с текстом. (Группа 1, Группа 2, Группа 3) Класс делится на три команды, учащиеся получают письма. Каждое письмо состоит из трех параграфов (введение, главная часть, заключение). Учащиеся должны в группе расположить параграфы в правильном порядке.

Dear friends.

1. Wait for me and I’ll come anyway! My best wishes to you and your dearest and nearest.
   Santa Claus
2. Christmas is coming! Be ready to me!
3. I’ve already visited the children in England, Scotland and Wales. Children have already decorated Christmas trees and hang their stockings. I have already brought them my Christmas presents. They gave me their Christmas cards. We have already sung merry songs and danced a lot. I’ve already tried their Christmas traditions. What did you cook for me? What are your Russian traditional dishes? May be salads, Christmas pies, pelmeni and fruit? I love them very much!

Проверка. Команда выполнившая задание первой зачитывает письмо. Учитель собирает письма и на доске появляется тоже самое письмо, но с пропущенными словами. Учащиеся устно заполняют пропуски в предложениях.

8. Диалоги учащихся. Ученикам предлагается в парах обсудить их подготовку к Новому Году и Рождеству, используя вопросы на доске.
