Цели:

Познавательный аспект – систематизация и увеличение объема знаний в области политического устройства России, Великобритании и США.

Развивающий аспект – развитие речевой компетентности, умение высказываться логично и связно.

Воспитательный аспект – формирование гражданского и патриотического самосознания, развитие культуры общения, умения работать в коллективе.

Речевой материал – лексика политического направления предыдущих уроков.

Оборудование: иллюстрации, персональный компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, видеопрезентации в Power Point, дидактический материал.

Учебник: Английский язык. 10-11 класс, под редакцией В.П. Кузовлева и др.

Деятельность учащихся
I. Организационный момент Учитель приветствует учащихся. Спрашивает число и какие праздники отмечаются в этот день. Сообщает, что 3 декабря в России отмечается два праздника:
  1. Международный день инвалидов.
  2. День юриста (этот праздник отмечается впервые в 2008г.)

Затем учитель спрашивает о главном законе нашей страны и что означает демократия.

 Учащиеся высказывают свои предположения.

Ученики отвечают на вопросы учителя.
II. Фонетическая зарядка Учитель предлагает сопоставить глаголы и существительные по теме Учащиеся у интерактивной доски сопоставляют, читают полученные словосочетания и переводят их.
III. Фронтальный опрос Учитель задает вопросы.

 

 Учащиеся отвечают устно.
IY. Проверка домашнего задания Учитель осуществляет контроль домашнего задания. Видеопрзентации учащихся, мини-тесты для групп.
Y. Тест “Сравнение политических систем”. Учитель раздает задания для учащихся. Учащиеся заполняют таблицу

Ход урока

I. Оргмомент.

Good morning dear boys and girls. I am very glad to see you. Our lesson is unusual today. Here are some guests at our lesson. Тhey are English teachers from secondary schools of our town. Let’s greet them.

Thank you. And now let’s begin our lesson. Do you know what holiday it is today? It is interesting to know that today people celebrate two holidays;

1. The International Day of Disabled.

It is celebrated all over the world.

2. The Lawyer Day. This holiday Russian lawyers celebrate for the first time.

Whether we like it or not, but politics is real part of our life. It is everywhere in newspapers and magazines, on the radio and on TV. And you, of course, in some years will take an active part in political life of our country.

  1. Do you want to be a politician?
  2. What do you think “democracy” mean?
  3. What is the main law of our country?
  4. When will you have the right to take part in elections according to the Constitution of the Russian Federation?

Now you are 16-17 years old and you study at school but in two years or earlier you will be 18.And may be your life will be connected with politics.

III. Фронтальный опрос.

So, the topic of our lesson is “The political system of the Russian Federation, The United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland”. Today we are going to compare these political systems and summarize all your knowledge and to be ready for preparing your own projects. To be a good politician is very interesting and useful but very difficult. First of all he or she must know much, for example:

  1. Is Russia presidential republic or federal republic? (Russia is presidential republic.)
  2. Whom does legislative branch belong to in our country? (The Federal Assembly represents the legislative branch of power in our country.)
  3. Who is the official head of the UK? (The official head of the UK is Queen Elizabeth II.)
  4. How many members of Parliament are elected by the people in the UK? (British people elect about 650 members of Parliament.)
  5. What does the term “constitutional monarchy” mean? (The term “constitutional monarchy” means that Great Britain is governed by the Parliament and the Queen is the Head of State.)
  6. Who is the head of the executive branch of government in the USA? (The President is the head of the executive branch of government in the USA.)

Well done. I see, you know much about political systems of these three countries. And now let’s check up your home task – your short presentation.

IV. Проверка домашнего задания – видеопрезентации творческих работ учащихся.

Предварительно класс был разделен на три творческие мини-группы, которые подготовили свои творческие проекты по темам:

  1. “Политическая система Великобритании” (Слайды № 4-12)
  2. “Политическая система США” (Слайды № 13-24)
  3. “Политическая система России” (Слайды № 25-34)

Кроме того, каждая группа составила мини-тесты по защищаемой теме для своих оппонентов (время на их выполнение 2 – 3 минуты).

V. TEST.

You have worked very well and have learnt much new and interesting facts about the political system of three countries: Russia, the UK and the USA. And now let’s summaries your knowledge about these political systems in the Test.
