Цели:

  • Социокультурный аспект знакомство с достопримечательностями Лондона.
  • Развивающий аспект формирование способностей к продуктивным речевым действиям, повышение мотивации говорения на базе страноведческой тематики.
  • Учебный аспектразвитие речевых умений в диалогической и монологической речи на основе творческого использования усвоенного ранее материала в новых ситуациях.
  • Воспитательный аспектформирование адекватного восприятия и отношения к образу жизни и нормам поведения в стране изучаемого языка, воспитание положительного отношения к достопримечательностям Лондона.
  • Сопутствующие задачискрытый контроль уровня сформированности речевых умений.

Оборудование:

  • иллюстрации достопримечательностей Лондона;
  • флаг Великобритании;
  • диск с проектами ребят;
  • мультимедийное оборудование;
  • компьютер.

ХОД УРОКА

I. Подготовительный этап

1. Организационный момент

Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls! I am happy to see you too. (Дети поют песню “If you are happy”)

– How are you? – I am alive and kicking
– How are you doing? – I am first rate.
– How are you feeling? – I am in the pink.

2. Объявление целей урока

Teacher: The topic of our lesson is “Welcome to London”. First we shall train our tongues, after that we’ll review London’s places of interest and we’ll check up your homework. So, what are you going to do at the lesson?

P1, P2, P3:

– I am going to develop my reading skills;
– I am going to develop my speaking skills;
– I am going to get a good mark;
– I am going to improve my pronunciation.

Teacher: Let’s improve our pronunciation.

3. Фонетическая разминка

Teacher: Let’s prepare our tongues for the English language. Listen to the rhyme. Translate the rhyme. Repeat after me. Read the rhyme (2 pupils).
Six little kittens
Live in the city
And the city is so pretty.

Teacher: Answer my questions:

– What is this rhyme about?
– What city is it?
– What pretty cities do you know?
– What do you know about London?

II. Совершенствование навыков диалогической речи по теме Лондон

1. Речевая разминка:

Teacher: What is the UK?
P1: The UK is a short way of saying the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Teacher: How many parts does the UK consists of and what are the called?
P2: The UK consists of 4 parts: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Teacher: Where does London stands?
P3: London stands on the river Thames.
Teacher: What do you know about London?
P4: London is the most beautiful city in Europe.
P5: There are a lot of museums, art galleries, theatres, cinemas and parks in London.
P6:  London is a mixture of old and new buildings.

Teacher: You are right. London has a lot of places of interest. Look at the blackboard. What can you see on it? Let’s pronounce the places of interest carefully.

(Повторение всех изученных достопримечательностей. Дети произносят названия сначала хором за учителем, а затем индивидуально).

Teacher: Where does Big Ben stand?
– How often can you hear Big Ben?
– How much does the big bell weigh?
– What is the symbol of England?
– Who founded Westminster Abbey?
– Does the Queen of Britain live in the Tower of London?
– Where does the Queen stay when she is in London?
– Where does the coronation of all British Kings and Queens take place?
– What is the oldest part the Tower of London?

(Учитель показывает картинки и задает вопросы)

Teacher: Let’s play the game “Agree or disagree”. Listen to my sentences. Repeat my statement if you agree with me and correct it if you disagree with me.

  1. Big Ben is a square.
  2. Big Ben is a clock.
  3. There are a lot of places to visit in London.
  4. The country’s leaders speak in the Tower of London.
  5. Trafalgar Square is the main square of London.
  6. The Queen lives in the Bloody Tower.

 Teacher: It’s time to play and find out what places you like to visit. I want 4 pupils to go to my table and choose the pictures. The other pupils will ask the questions to know what places they like to visit.

(4 ученика выходят к доске и встают в линеечку с картинками. Оставшиеся ученики задают вопрос: “What places do you like to visit? Where do you like to go?” Ученики по очереди отвечают на вопрос. Затем ученики за партами считают до 5: “One, two, three, four, five, Stop!” В это время, ученики, стоявшие в линеечке  меняются картинками. Им снова задаются вопросы, а они отвечают.)

2. Физкультминутка:

Which is the way to London town
Where, where
Up in the air.
Close your eyes
And you are there.

III.Совершенствование навыков монологической речи

Teacher: Now we are in London. Let’s imagine that you are tourist agents. It’s time to advertise to our guests your tourist projects. Today we have two projects: «A day in London» and «Beautiful London». Let’s begin and I wish you good luck.

IV. Презентация проектов о Лондоне (см. Приложение 1).

V. Подведение итогов и вручение сертификатов

Teacher: You have worked out very well at the projects today. Good job! I see that you are good at English and you know well the sightseeing of London. And I want to give you these certificates.

Teacher: Now I want to show you one more picture.
– Do you know this man?
– Do you remember Sherlock’s famous words “Dear Watson, it’s elementary. You should just use the deductive method of investigating crimes.”
– Now let’s we use your deductive method and make a small test.
