Цели урока:
- учебный аспект – совершенствование речевых навыков;
- сопутствующая задача – развитие умения читать (аудировать) с детальным пониманием содержания;
- развивающий аспект – развитие способности к аудированию, логичности и доказательности;
- воспитательный аспект – формирование уважительного отношения к мнению другого; формирование ответственного отношения к проблемам окружающей среды.
Межпредметные связи: экология, информатика.
Внутрипредметные связи: темы «Погода», «Здоровье».
Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, презентация к уроку по теме «А ты в ответе за планету?» <Приложение 1>, учебник «Английский язык» для 7 класса под редакцией В.П.Кузовлева
ХОД УРОКА
1. Организационный момент
Teacher: Good morning, my dears. Sit down, please. What date is it
today?
Pupil: Today is the 15th of December.
2. Речевая зарядка
Teacher: What is the weather like today?
Pupil: It’s rather warm for winter, the temperature is about zero.
There’s no snow at all.
Teacher: How do you think what’s the reason of this?
Pupil: It is global warming I think.
3. Мотивация и постановка целей урока
Teacher: Why do we have such a problem?
Pupils: Plants and factories put their wastes into the air.
There are a lot of cars in our cities that spoil our atmosphere.
People use toxic cleaners that poison everything.
Teacher: So, we have a lot of problems with our environment. Here they
are. Read them aloud
- Air pollution
- Water pollution
- Land pollution
- Disappearing animals
So, today we’ll speak about these problems and try to answer the question “Who is in charge of the planet?”

Teacher: Many people are concerned about these problems. Among them you can find famous politicians, writers, actors. Listen to the song “The Road to Hell” by Chris Rea and try to explain why it is called so?

Teacher: What does Chris Rea mean when he says “this is the road to
hell”?
Pupils: I think he says that our industry will kill our planet if we
don’t think of nature.
We spoil our nature.
We pollute our environment and can dye of it.He is afraid of dying.
Teacher: Is he concerned of ecological problems?
Yes, he is.
Teacher: And you?
Pupils: Yes, we are.

Teacher: Unfortunately, some people in Orekhovo-Zuyevo do not think of our environment. They do nothing to help the Earth. But what about British people? We’ll know it soon. If you need you may use the text. Open your books on page 83, exercise 1. Listen to the children. Then answer the questions before the text.

Teacher: Who of these children helps the Earth?
Pupil: Nikki and Jackie help the Earth.
Teacher: What do they do for it?
Pupils: Nikki cares of otters. She feeds them and cleans their cages.
Jackie saves plastic containers. She plants trees. She and her mother have made a pond to
help frogs.
Teacher: And what about Nick?
Pupil: He thinks that only Greenpeace and WWF should be in charge of the
planet.

Pupils: I think I’m in charge of the planet. I can do a lot to help the
Earth.
I must remember the rule of three R’s: reuse, reduce, recycle.
Teacher: What can we reuse?

Teacher: What else can we do to help our planet?
Pupils:
We can plant trees.
We can feed birds in winter.
We can clean parks and streets.
We must put litter in a litter bin.
We mustn’t break trees.
We mustn’t leave the fire in the forests…
12. Объяснение домашнего задания
Teacher: OK, your hometask will be to make a project “My
Environmental Programme”
Think of possible activities to help the Earth which you can do.
Make presentations.
Teacher: I’m glad you understand that everybody is in charge of the
planet.
Teacher: “Look after this planet; it’s the only one we have”
(the appeal of prince Philip of Britain, president for the World Wide Fund of Nature –
WWF)
Remember it and we’ll save the Earth.
